Will it finally broke, it almost made it through a year. I was wondering if anyone has fixed one of these . I thought i had seen a post before about fixing one, but i cant find it now. So if anyone knows of the thread its in or has done this let me know thanks .

Here's how I fixed mine - it broke at the handle:

The repair was permanent. Until the head part broke off:

Then it was a goner.

thanks man . I just fixed mine before I seen this post, I cut a little more wood off the handle tho . The handle had split so I cut all of the split part off . I also am using gorilla glue instead of epoxy I don't have any epoxy handy . Plus i need the brush tomorrow I hope it works . I own all three Daytona speed master, but the newer plastic one doesn't fit all wheel barrels , its great for fender wells tho. Your post is the one i was looking for thanks .:dblthumb2::dblthumb2:

they need to make a cone design like the original one but in plastic .

I fixed it for now , I will be purchasing wheel woolies in the future.

The daytona speed master is a great brush, but it just needs to redesigned. It doesn't hold up to every day detailing like it should. And the one they made for everyday use isn't versatile enough.

If the handle is solid and the brush wire doesn't screw into the handle, how is it held?

Mine broke too. Not at the handle though.

It is the plastic? protective 'covering' on the twisted wires that 'wore off' and exposed the actual twisted wires - obviously this will lead to scratches on the rims if used.

I am assuming it is finished as I can't see a way of 're-wrapping' the wires with some form of protection to prevent scratches.

Has anyone experienced anything similar?
