Hello All, I got the Daytona Speed master Wheel brush Trio and while it works great and I am glad that I have them. I did get to experience the splatter benefits of this brush. I also got got some d143 in my face and it burned haha...

What I did to solve this problem wash just held a little piece of cardboard while cleaning them. Which worked, but this method seems a lot better to solve the splatter problem...

Just thought I'd share, haven't tried it yet btw it is still raining...

Great video, have you done it or you're sharing it?

I'll try this tip as soon as I clean my next wheel. I don't get much splatter but because I'm bored while getting the wheel brush off really slow. Maybe 70% of my detailing time is removing the brush from wheel with minimum splatter! (loL!)

Simple, interesting to try. But anyway, it's good to be careful with splattering at the paint, being yourself dirty maybe a problem, but not the only!

I enjoy this guy's videos, always good.

Thanks for Sharing.

I haven't tried it yet. I really liked the Daytona brush enough that I was going to keep using them. I do have the wheel woolies, but the Daytona brush is just another tool in my Detail Tool Box.

As soon as it's stops raining I am finally giving my car it's wash. I am also eager to see how the 4 tire dressings hold up. For now I am just home since there is no school today and the detail store I was going to go visit is closed today. So I am just building up my shopping cart lol and watching detail videos and ran into Renny Doyle's videos (I didn't even know he had videos, they are very informative and not so much product placement. which is nice for a change)

These are his videos. Just finished watching Rupes vs Flex. I guess I am an artist since I've been wanting to get the Flex as well. I also want the GG6 :D

...

That's Renny Doyle.

With the Daytona what I do is rotate while extracting and also put myself at a 90º angle with it: it works.

If you continue to twist the brush as you move it outward, it will significantly reduce splatter.

The plate is a great idea.

Has anybody heard of the Detail Awards coming up in March?

Sorry for hijacking my own thread. :hijacked::laughing:

the link is not working so I just copied the image. I would really love to see these.

Its not environmentally friendly using styrofoam plate. That is a good idea to use something like that.

Lol what on earth is this!?!??!

Honestly I have no idea how I even found it. Flash Gordon gets named and C Dog :)

Oh I got off the phone with Kevin Brown and heard the story of the reasoning for the washer mod and how and why it makes sense in the way we polish paint vs how it was designed. Made perfect sense actually and why my housing or "shroud" (forget the name) of why it got eaten ed up and how the wash mod also would have prevented that. Which also made sense. And since i've had it modded it doesn't do that anymore.

I called to ask him if he thinks it would be possible to use the 3" Rupes backing plate on the 21.

Or cut a 5" backing plate down to 3"s. I got a not such great idea. I still want to try it though :D

^ Oh and I'm kidding about the grit guard btw

^ ahh.... I love the humorous side of AGO

I got a new idea for wheel and tire cleaning. Quick, simple and probably unnecessary but ehh won't hurt to try... (I haven't tried it either, but the idea just popped into my head lol) I just need to pick up one more thing and I'll shoot a video of it and post it here. Where nobody else would care or even bother to see it besides my AGO Friends Im the MAN

What? That's the most responsible way to use a styrofoam plate that I've ever seen. At least that plate is getting used multiple times before it wears out and is tossed.

A plate full of Brussel sprouts is an irresponsible use of a styrofoam plate.
