Can I use a hair blow drier to remove the decals off my car with floss?
I've been looking into getting one of these decal removing tools.

Sure. Floss doesn't ALWAYS work. I've ran into a couple situations where the adhesive was too thick. It's nice when it works cause it typically doesn't leave a lot of adhesive behind. Comes off fairly clean, and leaves no scratches at all. I find fishing line to be stronger, and work a bit better.
I haven't tried it but a customer of mine's sign guy swears by it for removing decals from the commercial vehicles that he strips and re letters up. He claims that there is no heat build up and very minimal paint marring.Ooooooooo toys! :awesome: Have you tried it?
Thanks Kristopher. If I decided to put them back onto my car would it be a pain or would it be easy?

I could see it being a worthwhile purchase for a guy like you who has a business. It's a bit pricey but a writeoff and it would pay for itself rather quickly.Interesting. I might have to buy one of those. I do get some customers who need letter removal. This would probably be ideal. Thanks! :dblthumb2:
I've seen a few videos of this tool in action and it looks like a very efficient tool.Dave that looks like the thing to have if your removing alot of decals....which I may be doing very soon.you have got my attention on that!
A guy at a local paint supply store told me that Capital Trailways (like greyhound bus company) removes all the bus lettering with it and says that he just won't be without one. After the last wheelchair access bus that I de-lettered, I will not do another without this tool. I lost on that job with heat gun and plastic razor scraper.:doh:Looks mean! I like it!
