Dedicatedperfection: 2005 Dodge Ram (fresh paint)

Nice, looks like its it's covered in liquid glass. Thanks for taking the time to share.

Another outstanding work, as always, my friend.
But I if he had such nasty swirls only because of improper washing, I have to wonder if the paint from the repaint job was prepped right, it shouldn't be that soft after 4 weeks.
I've been working with a top notch painter here in my town, he works with PPG water based system, and he polishes and seals the paint four hours after the job is done, which I find quite amazing how the paint/clearcoat technology has evolved.

Thanks for the kind words good sir.

I have no idea what he had on hand but he mentioned it was the first time he touched the truck after being painted. Must have been some horrendous towels/applicators.

I am the shop foreman for the body shop where I work and we are utilizing both PPG water based/solvent based being shot with SATA paint guns and we will give the paint a minimum 12 hours before cutting/polishing with any kind of sanding/polishing material much less seal the paint with a quality LSP within 30 days. I know temperature and humidity plays a big factor but 4 hours is a big rush to work on paint.

No disrespect.

Nice job. Out of curiosity, did it get repainted because the rear quarter panels were replaced?

Thank you.

The passenger side of the truck was driven up against a small concrete wall on accident. It was replaced and painted. Rather than having just the side of the truck painted, the owner had the entire truck painted for a more uniform appearance.

And he's incredibly fast!

Thanks Ted!
