Dedicatedperfection: 2012 VW Passat

This Passat was referred to me from a dealer from a good friend of mine by word of mouth advertising. The vehicle received a bit of TLC before it arrived but still needed a good bit of love. In the end the owner was ecstatic and could not believe the transformation. He was thrilled to say the least. Total time spent, 5 hours. Assistance from Focusst14

Time to clay. Each panel was coming up like this. I swear we didn't clay the under carriage...

Great work Mike! After using Menzerna 3in1 on this after using Blackfire Total Polish & Seal on the Red Aveo what would you say you prefer? My only complaint with the 3in1 is that its always been grabby upon removal and can take a bit of time.

Mike, excellent job as usual. Did you do the entire car from start to finish right there in the parking lot? If so, does everyone want to watch and bother you?

Great work fellas! Can't get over how dirty the clay was after each panel. Also did you say this was a job from a German car dealership? Is that right?

Car looks great and at 5.5 hrs, that's bloody fast!

Great results, as usual. If you don't mind, I have a couple questions.
(1) How is the longevity of CG Blacklight?
(2) Would the wax in the 3 in 1 interfere with the bonding and longevity of the BL?

Thanks Caleb!

For outright cutting performance, Menzerna 3n1. Ease of use and wipe off, BlackFire TP&S

I initially grabbed TP&S at first to start my test spot. After seeing that it only put a nice shine on the swirls on this hard German paint, I grabbed 3n1 to see what it could offer. In return I was greeted with the results that an AIO delivers. Remember, this was hard German paint whereas the red Aveo featured easier to polish paint.

Thanks WaxMaster!

I sure did. I haven't had to many people stop to see what I'm up too.

great work Mike. looks new again

Thanks Roger! I agree.

Thanks a bunch Ian! I joked around with Kyle after he showed me the first result from claying. That's when I jokingly told him were not claying the under carriage.

I sure did. But this is a dealer set up for military sales. They sell U.S. specification vehicles.

Thanks Richy!

Two people equipped to perform the same task surely cuts down on time. I was running the 3401 while Kyle was running the GG3 for tight areas.

Thanks Steve.

1. I haven't used it in such a long time, I wanted to bring it out as it brought back memories when I first started years ago. Can't comment here on durability.

2. I wouldn't think so. I feel that 3n1 should be topped any how as it leaves the surface pretty grabby. It's not slick like after an application of a dedicated LSP. If anything, the grabby surface promotes adhesion of another layer of LSP. IMO of course.

Great job as always. Thanks for the detailed write up and responses.

Now that is how black is suppose to look! Another beautiful job my friend:)

Awesome job, thanks for sharing Mike!

Thank you Ian. We are hoping so.

Word is, there is a lifted Cummins that needs work next...

Mike I cant believe just how nasty this paint was even after all we did before claying the vehicle. I have never seen something like that before. Im highly impressed that we were able to complete this car in just over 5 hours with the paint in the condition it was. Cant wait to see how this dealership works with us in the future and bring on the business our way!

You and I both! :buffing:

How often do you get word of mouth clients? I live in a small town, hell, our county only has 40,000 people, but I'm finding it difficult to rely solely on word of mouth around here. Any suggestions?
