Defoamer?

If I pretreat with a foaming carpet cleaner and then extract with a mytee lite 2 with fresh water do I need to use a de foamer?

When I had an extractor I would always pre treat with a low foaming APC like megs APC+ or use 3D extractor shampoo which is extremely low foaming.

I use pro c-83 I spray it on the carpet and fabric with this product there is no need for a defoamer. I do clean the system with Mytee cleaner. I do not put any cleaner in the fresh water tank.

I've read that a little bit of white vinegar in the recovery tank will act as a defoamer if you are extracting carpet with foaming solution in it.

I use 2-3 oz of a generic deformer In the recovery tank and spray a little on the suction mouth of the wand. I only do this with certain cleaners when they are added to the solution tank. Usually no need for one with low foaming cleaners.
