Demo Hoods for Mobile Tech Expo and Barrett-Jackson
Made a trip out to my favorite salvage yard here in Stuart, Snake Road Salvage and pulled 4 hoods of wrecked cars for upcoming classes and demonstarations at Mobile Tech Expo and Barrett-Jackson in Palm Beach.
Each hood is extremely oxidized but NOT past the point of no return. Also notice how they are the most part very square and about as flat as hoods get. These make great demo hoods.
From left to right,
Black hood basecoat/clearcoat
Red hood single stage
Blue hood basecoat/clearcoat
White hood - won't know what type of paint until we start buffing
Here's the entrance to Snake Road Auto Salvage from Salerno Road - Just down the road from Autogeek. The owner Phil is genuine car guy with a nice collection of cool cars and always a great friend to Autogeek.

Here's the section with late model cars. Basically I walk up and down each row searching for perfect demo hoods. After testing the paint, then I remove the bold holding the hood to the hood hinges and pack it back to the truck.
