After reading this thread I thought man, Mike is an @$$. As I read more he was so right. I haven't seen them post again. Way to look out for it.
If you read through my posting history, you don't actually see a pattern of being like you described. In fact, I think you'll see the opposite. All my posts are written to help people by providing information that solves problems. Go ahead check it...
As for our new forum member, if you re-read what I wrote I welcomed the new member and shared the forum rules.
I've been posting to forums since the software was invented. I completely understand that some people that join a forum are
new to forums. Not saying sheewee87 is new to forums
but in general,
some people that join a forum are new to forums.
Some people that are new to forums don't always read the forum rules before posting. Anytime I join a forum it's the first thing I do. I want know where the boundaries are and that's what forum rules do, they lay out the boundaries so people know what's appropriate and what's not appropriate.
Our forum rules state this forum is to support the products sold on the AG store. I've seen our Moderators relaxed this rule some in the last year or so.
What I did was take into account that this new member may or may not be new to forums so I gently let them know the forum rules to help them.
I also mentioned that I like to give people the benefit of the doubt and I do. I'm still assuming this new member is here to learn about car detailing and they are just so excited about this foam gun they saw on YouTube that they wanted to join our forum to get more information about it and to also learn more about car detailing.
Not only do I like and appreciate this it's also what this forum is all about and circling back to my first paragraph in this reply, I think if you read through my posting history or 40,000+ posts you'll find a history and pattern of nothing but helping all our members. It's what I do.
Since you made your post at 12-12-2013, 11:08 PM (last night), our new forum member has returned and posted again to their thread.
So I'm still operating on the idea that they are here to learn more about foam guns and more about car detailing and if they ask questions I'm confident that our forum members as well as myself will do our best to provide answers.
No reason for that... like I said, I've been working on forum for 12+ years now, like I said in an earlier post that some new posts by new members can raise a flag but...
I like to give people the benefit of the doubt.
One thing for sure... a person reveals themselves through the
things they write and the
way they write in their posting history... on this forum and other forums. (I'm often surprised by how I see some people
reveal themselves on other forums).
Now back on-topic...
I love foam guns. In fact if I had to make a
Top 10 List of my favorite tools the foam gun would be on it.
I have a MB to buff out this weekend and I plan on decontaminating it for iron particles and a part of that process will include using a foam gun.
