Hey Surfer, we thin the tix degreaser 1 to 8, going stronger for engine wash. So far that is, we're about to change chemicals and will end up with a tix degreaser thinned 1 to 20. It certainly is for experienced personnel, so far we have had only small incidents regarding the reaction of the chemicals on cars and certainly not the last six months. Degreaser we use only when we spot salt and asphalt stains. I'm not sure about the language here, you guys might just use degreaser as a common name for both product groups? Where I come from the tix degreaser only works good on dirt and oils (petrol stains, engine oil, grease etc) whereas degreaser works best on salt and asphalt stains. It might be exactly what you mean and then we speak the same language.
Let me assure you that I take the matter of work environment seriously and also the health of my staff. We have put out chemicals too strong for our health and given salesmen from the chem business hell for bringing in products that choked our breathing. That crap went straight out of my door and never came back. Nevertheless, we have to use these chemicals to get the cars clean as our customers rarely trade their used car and deliver it washed and detailed.
So far I have not found an alcohol yet that can bring the same result as the deox wash but then again this dog is not too old to learn a-new.
