I am going there in a couple of weeks and was wondering where would be some places to go?

Destin is known for the awesome beaches.
Friend has a timeshare there and they go to this waterpark and love it.

I was going to say beaches too. Not much else to do in Destin except hit the beach or go fishin. Yeah, watch out for those sharks. Someone got attacked in 3 feet of water there.
 
I always heard the locals feed the tourists to the sharks in Destin just for something to do.

I just lost my appetite.:( The last time I was up there a bunch of tourists came up missing. :confused: I'm glad I didn't try the seafood gumbo.
 
If you're looking for somewhere to eat (and don't mind something kind of expensive) I've had an UNBELIEVABLE steak at aplace called "Copper Grill." I actually was married on the beach in Destin about 1 and a half years ago. The lighthouse is also a good place to eat, less expensive, but a little more seafood intensive. Good Luck, and enjoy yourself.
 
i suggest driving down to Panama City and going to eat at Pompano's. Its right in front of the WalMart. This place has THE best shecrab soup you'll ever have and the other food there is great as well. It's worth the drive!

mingarygt, this will be your Destin tourist guide. He's a real nice guy. I meet him scuba diving last year.
