Detail: 96' Cobra (hammered) White Paint

"Rise Of The Cobra" Great job correcting the paint surface. Enjoy your new toy.

Wow that paint was jacked up! Good job getting it clear. I bet your muscles are glad its done ;)

Get some LSP! I'm anxious to see some sun shots!

just finished my 2nd coat of poli-seal...topping it off with s100. :) sun shots will come either tomorrow or this weekend!

Over the years, all sorts of mold, grime and dirt accumulated and was caked on the hinges and the jams. With some good old fashioned elbow grease with an old clean rag and some Meguiars All-Purpose Diluted and a toothbrush, I was able to get the jams/hinges looking almost brand new! :thumbsup

All jams were dressed with S100 wax

The interior of the car was actually in much better shape than the exterior. Only took me 45 minutes to wipe everything down and protect it. I plan on doing the seats tomorrow. Dressed all trim/dash pieces with 303.

Without further delay...here's some finals of the exterior of the car! Thanks to those who stuck around to see it! (I know white's pretty boring).

Lastly, I forgot to list this pic of the rag after I cleaned the door panels...man they were nasty.

Dude is there any clear coat left after 5 passes of Powergloss and 10 of M105 on the roof? OUCH! I probably would've wet sanded the whole car instead. Nice turn around though! I'd see about ordering up some Opti-coat after all that to really seal that great finish in for a while (IE a year plus).

I did wetsand the hood and roof. Still required 5 light passes to remove all remaining RIDS. I'm very anal. Going to see what the hype is about when I get my Blackfire Wet Diamond, and go from there.

Just curious how many miles are on the car when you purchased it? And what did you get it for since it was neglected?

I got it Jan 1st for an even trade for my Mountaineer. 74k miles are on the body, and 24k miles on the new motor. :xyxthumbs:

I live in Shelby County, too. Germantown/Collierville/Cordova area! I'm in the middle of like all three haha.
I'm SO ready to get out of here for college, though.
