Decided to do a little painting on my beater so this definitely isn't a detail thread like some of you are used to seeing. It is what it is but it came out pretty good. Let me know what you think. I need to get side markers for it but just haven't picked them up yet.

Still need to do the wheels and I plan on adding tint to the back three windows. Just something I did when I was bored and wanted this thing that was primer, green, and white to look better. I think it turned out great. LOL

What'd ya paint it with?

Plasti-dip! :xyxthumbs:

This stuff lays down incredibly easy and the nice thing about it is that if I ever need to touch up, it blends in nicely. Ideally, I could pull all of this off and the paint below would be fine...well slightly marred I'm sure but in hindsight it should be okay.

Looks good!

Just curious:
What product(s) are you going to use to "clean" Plasti-Dip?

:)

Bob

Just regular soap and water. I purchased a special rap for it called "the dip washer" from a non sponsor....specially formulated for plasti-dipped cars. Unlike MF or cloth towels it wont leave any fibers behind and "glides" smooth over the surface.

Finally...A special "dip-washer" rag:
That's really good news to hear!! :props:

-There's a lot of folks I know that would
like to have one (or more) of those!

Nice work! Wish there were before shots to make us like it oh so much better.

haha That actually looks really cool. I was just talking to a buddy the other day about how different finishes, especially matte finishes, are starting to get more popular. I predict that in the next 10 years we will start to see less and less "shiny" clear coated cars. I think super shiny is starting to go out of style.

Ask and you shall receive.

The front clip was done at my buddies. It's what really made the simple idea take off. Got bored and we had been talking about it. I finished the rest myself.

And these were taken at my parents where I finished it.
