Boy oh boy, this car is a typical Rent-A-Racer in swirls! I picked this car up in Orlando and drove to AG Headquarters (and folks...it ain't a Shelby in power...probably re-programmed for less power). I got there late Friday and thanks to Ed for his washing supplies (that foam gun is fantastic), got the car washed for a Saturday session.

Here's a few before shots...

Saturday, I got started early AM and the sun was definitely out there! Unlike the shop environment I typically work in, this was truly a good chance to work with System One Polish in direct sun on a black car. It was easy, fast, and didn't give me a single problem.

Then, I got distracted!

Okay, back to work fella!

I finished up the car between too much talking and too many distractions. It finished out 90%....I don't think Hertz needs a 100% car unless they want to hire me LOL.

Returned the car to Orlando and had a typical "sorry sir, the flight's been delayed" trip back to KC...arrived at midnight. What a fun time!

Totoland is too darn cute, I really enjoyed our talks and watching you work, Richard is a master at his craft.:buffing:

That car was a mess but Toto took care of it.

I told you Hertz wouldn't even notice how beautiful it was when you returned it.;)

Beautiful work Toto. It was a pleasure watching you work. You are a true master...

Looks like you had you hands full Toto! lol

Hertz should have paid you when you returned the car.

It was great to watch. Thanks for answering all of the questions. Love your trick with the sealant.

:righton:

Ahem.........looks like it:D Now we know why he needs to wear an apron:righton:

J/K Toto's the man!!

I had to wear that apron to keep the drool off my shirt...and my moustache was perfectly straight before that shot LOL!

Toto it was a pleasure meeting you ... and super work on the Stang. I gotta tell you though, you sure left a little pink from our Florida sun.

When you say 90% you mean there were still swirl marks?

I did have some light scratches in the leading edge of the hood and probably the lower plastic rocker trim. But, overall, the car looked very respectable for an outdoor detail. If it was in the BMW shop on a lift....I'd have wailed on it until it was OEM new.

Killrwheels: yeppers, I was a wee bit red on the flight home, but that will dissipate in a couple of days. I can definitely see why mobile folks in Florida use a canopy.

Toto

Thanks for answering the question, It's very cool of you to demo an entire detail in the blazing sun.

I really wish I could have made the trip to Florida to be part of Detail Fest if for no other reason then to meet Toto and watch him do his magic. Thanks for the pics of the event:righton:

Jeez Richard, at least wipe the drool away before the photo op!

I saw you out there working in the hot sun. I had no idea that was a rent-a-car. Either you love detailing cars or you're just a little crazy.

You do nice work.

Tony

Hey Toto, it was great meeting and hanging with you fri and saturday. I think it took you 2 more hours to do the mustang, with all that extra talking with the models.:D
Has your body recooperated yet from saturday.
