Detail spray after collonite 845 to remove fingerprints

I was very happy using DG Aquawax as a maintenance product when I had 845 applied. Great gloss and slick.

Agree, Duragloss Aquawax is a very nice product for relatively little money.

Our local CARQUEST used to handle the small bottles, and could order any Duragloss product, but it looks like CARQUEST has been taken over by Advanced Auto, and they do not carry the Duragloss Brand.

I just did :)
I ordered a bottle right now with some more chemical guys microfiber towels and a new wash mitt. $$$$$$$$$$$$$ lol but I should be set for a long time now.

Now I need to find a use for that d156 x-press spray wax......
Thank you so much guys

Agree with BrutalNoodle... Give rinseless washing a try with your new WG Uber and then use your D156 as a drying aid. Terrific combo!

I'd recommend using Wolfgang Uber Rinseless wash. Mix it up as a waterless wash/detail spray and use that. It's designed to protect as you go so it will be safer and better than a regular detail spray.

Wouldn't the ww ratio be different than the qd ratio ? I would think the ww mix would have less water than the qd mix.

As far as the D156, I use it as a drying aid everytime I rinseless wash. Good stuff.

AA is starting to carry DG products at least in my area.
Just the basics right now soap, aquawax, and fast clean and shine.

Should I even need the D156 since my cars will have a fresh coat of 845?
I just washed my 2008 Toyota sequoia to remove the polishing compound oils so I can wax it tomorrow morning with the 845...... man, it wasn't easy lol
I forgot how much work it was. It should be way easier now to wash/dry it after I apply the 845 :)

Yes. IIRC WG Uber as a WW is 1oz to 3 gal. As a detail Spray it's 3oz to a gal. That said, the latter is too strong for my pure black car as no matter what it tends to streak. Thus I use the standard WW ratio as my detail mist and it works great. SLick as can be and shines nicely. Having the car coated helps too ;)

Sweet! Thanks for sharing that. I would have used the recommended 3oz for 1 gal if you didn't post that :)
My suv is black and my other car is dark gray

What detail spray would you guys recommend that won't affect the collonite wax? I really only want it to take care of fingerprints and bird droppings.

You're looking for a detail spray Without any wax of its own. Something like Meguiars D155 Last Touch is what you're looking for.

I'm not sure why so many people suggested Megs D156 Synthetic Spray Wax as it will leave its own effect on top of your Colonite wax..

Give Poorboys QD+ a try. Super slick, has some carnauba in it, works really, really well with any of the Collinite waxes.

Yeah, that's what I thought after I ordered it already and it was too late to cancel .... :( oh well, it wasn't too much. I'll probably just give it to my mom as a gift for her car.

I already settled and bought the wg uber. Thanks for the help guys
