Detail spray then Spray wax ???

Just wondering if it's ok to immediately follow my meguiars quick detailer spray with my duragloss aquawax? I see the detailer contains alcohol, doesn't that remove wax? Or, am I being too anal?
 
I use the detailer, as a waterless wash, when my car is dusted. Then I use the spray wax. I've read where the detailer will not scratch with the dust and the spray wax will scratch, hence, the detailer first.
 
IMO:
Duragloss AquaWax should be applied
to freshly-cleaned vehicle surfaces.

With that in mind:
•I’m going to assume you used Meguiar’s
Quik Detail Spray for its cleaning abilities.

If that’s the case: (Edit: your above
posting confirms that it is the case)
1.) The vehicles surfaces have been cleaned
(and, any remnants of the QD’s “alcohol” has,
surely, been depleted/evaporated to the point
of irrelevancy).
2.) Therefore, as far as I’m concerned: an immediate
application of AquaWax, to the vehicle’s clean surfaces,
is more than acceptable. (And since Meguiar’s QD
doesn’t leave behind very much, if any, ‘protection’...
I’d say it’s even advisable.)

For us Laymen:

To give you a little more scare LOL. Did you know that the Duragloss Aquawax is more acidic on the ph level than the Meguiars Wheel Brightener D140 is as a concentrate. This is the nature of some protection products that is slightly acidic and need to be haveing an acidic carrier. But they are designed to get the Aquawax protection on the paint so it gets wiped up and evaporated and can have a chemical reaction with the air or the paint so it bonds to it. So yes if you have some protection on before that's sensitive to the carrier chemicals in the product you apply. Some of it can be damaged or even removed but you get the Aquawax protection on at least. And also I think that most protection can stand up to the carriers in the product you top it up with. If you where to see a streaking mess it's possible that you desolve the LSP you have and cause this. If it works just keep applying it though.

It depends on the detail spray. I use Wolfgang Uber diluted 42:1 with distilled water. I wipes cleanly with no residue. Then I can top it with Wolfgang Fuzion spray wax. Its great in a hotel parking lot when I am on the road.
