Detail Your Car - With Steam

I have been using steam for a while now. I use the Dupray unit that is a 5% humidity steamer, as well as a chemical injection extractor if you need that. Wouldn't be without it.

That steamer is about 6k's I think.

Do you do it similar to the way the Jay Leno detailer does?

Mine was 5k. It is 220volt powered. I use it in a shop environment, I am not a fan of diesel powered units in a closed space. Carbon monoxide poisoning would be easy and after being a mechanic for a while I can feel my heart flutter quite quick when I get into a space with low O2.

I use it mostly for interior work, some decal removal. If I have a car with light dust on it I use Optimum No Rinse Wash and Wax. Not much more water used and way more lubricity than just steam. Finish up with the master blaster and the car looks great. I am not sure how much water content that Optima steamer is but mine at 5% gets me a little worried on scratching some ones paint. Plus if you get the steam too close you can strip waxs in an instant.

I recently got a steamer don't know how i ever did without it
