This is my friends car. I have a GTO also and he wanted his to look like mine. So we traded cars on Tuesday night and I went to work. The car was in horrible shape. There were water etchings covering every square inch on the horizontal surfaces. Swirls everywhere. These cars have a pretty soft clear so where there were no waterspots, swirl removal wasn't that big of a deal.

Process:
Exterior
- Washed with NXT/foam gun: to strip off the existing protection (don't think there was any)
- DP Exterior Cleaner 1:1 in fender wells and on painted surfaces that faced the road
- DP Wheel Gel for wheels and tires
- PB Bug Squash 2:1 on bumper and mirrors
- DP Krystal Vision glass cleaner on Cobra glass towel

- Clayed with Clay Magic clay kit. (I use Pinn Poly Clay, but that wouldn't work here, lol)

- PC with OC/LC Yellow on all water spotted panels, still only took out about 90% of water marks. But I didn't want to remove too much clear in one shot.
- PC OP/LC Orange on other panels that were just swirled
- PC OP/LC White on areas that were compounded to remove hazing

- Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealent: this stuff is beyond awesome on metallics
- P21S carnauba wax
- Topped of DG Aquawax a few hours later: This stuff is amazing. The slickness is mindblowing and durability is pretty good too.
- Tires done with Pinnacle Black Onyx tire gel

Interior
- All interior surfaces cleaned with DP Interior Cleaner, leather needs some Leatherique to bring it back fully
- Leather dressed with Connolly Conditioner
- Other interior sufaces dressed with DP Interior Protectant

Did I turn you on to a new sealant? :D

Yeah, just a little. Both our cars are metallics, so the Wolfgang will be going on mine when the DP needs to be stripped off.

Very good job! I would call this a restore rather than detail!

Nice choice of products too. Glad to see they are working for you.

Thanks for posting bro.

The "before" pics were kinda scarey. Your friend obviously never took care of his car. Really nice job on the turn around.

Yeah, his idea detailing products were what comes from Walmart.

However, I already got him to put in a $100+ order from AG. He's getting the PC/Edge kit from AG soon also. I told him that I wasn't doing this again for him.

Thanks for the compliments

Fantastic work, very nice! Especially since it's black. Another reason for me to get the Wolfgang Deep Gloss Sealant!

It's amazing what clay will do to the car isn't it. The first time I tried it I was blown away with the claying. Always look forward to claying my vehicles.

Dude did you forget to dry the car?:awesome: :awesome: That thing is wet man, very nice :applause:

The holes in the trunk are from the spoiler. I removed the spoiler from my car and plugged the holes. He wanted to see what his looked like with the spoiler removed. I hadn't gotten plugs for the holes until after the pictures were taken. Eventually both our holes will be filled and the trunk repainted.
