This is car that I just detailed this week. It is owned by Anne Rice, a well known author. It has 9k on the odometer with a price tag of 70k. Jeremy Blackwell of Speed4Sale is brokering the car for her. He has let me handle all of his detailing needs. I was honored when he asked me to do this one for him.
The paint was very scratched and had lots of deep swirls and strange circular scratches as well. He told me to take my time and I would be rewarded. I had 7+ hours invested in this one alone.

Here's the process....

XMT #3
(E2K Yellow Pad at #5 Setting)
2-3 Full Passes on some panels.

XMT Glaze
(E2K Blue Pad at #5 Setting)
2 Coats on entire car.

Souveran Liquid Wax
(E2K White Pad at #4)
2 Coats on entire car as well.
Removed by hand.

Holy smokes, I love it, you can tell it was neglected bad. You brought it back to life, engine looks real nice!
That job says a lot about XMT and JUSTIN!!! Im the MAN

Hmmm . . . any chance that car runs on blood instead of gas?

I'm pretty sure those strange swirls were caused by vampires.

You know she also wrote erotic novels under a pen name. Find anything kinky in the boot?

Awsome job as always. I need to get a number 3 or XMT or PB. I havePB 2.5 and 1 but I can't get the scratches out like Justin. Not that I would ever be able to come near Justin's level, but maybe I need a notch higher on the swirl remover.

LOL!
I had to GOOGLE her to find out more about her last week. Pretty popular lady. Hermit now basically though.

Very nice work. I've worked on a black '97 Supra last week and I was really impressed with the quality of the paint. Nearly all of the scratches were able to be polished out. Toyota did a great job on the paint on these cars. If that damage was on a 2005 model car then it probably would have been through the primer. lol

It's hard to believe the asking price of these cars. $55K is a grundle of money for a car that was basically about $60K brand new. I know it is a collector car, but these motors are bulletproof and can still run 10 second ETs with 170,000 miles on the clock. Still, I would love to be able to get my hands on a bone stock Supra TT in that kind of condition.

Awesome job Justin!! Looks beautiful!! That XMT really kicks butt! I love the hood reflection shot! Just amazing!:applause:

Bumblebee Tuna....
LOL!
Just noticed that shot........glad I wasn't going commando that day!

Hmmm...Anne Rice does not seem the type of person to have owned a Supra. I guess you can never really gauge what people like. I figured her to be more a town car type gal...

...or a hearse.:righton:

I love it! Always wanted a Supra for myself. But $55k is way too much.

Very nice work, Justin.

Yeah, me too!! That's hilarious, I was going to PM you to let you know to be careful with the loose shorts man! That's one of Justin's tools we REALLY don't need to see;) Bumblebee tuna! I laugh my @ss off everytime I watch Ace Ventura. Also, I thought it was funny in one of the pics you have a microfiber sticking out of your pocket! A true detailer!!! lol

That car was seriously not taken care of.....looks like someone went curb surfing if you look at the close up of the tire on the for sale site.
