I got a call from a friend that wanted to sell his "beater". This thing was in horrible shape. The carpets were stained.......pet hair everywhere........I despise pets in the car!!! The outside was oxidized and scratched. He told me to do what I could for 200.00 and he would be happy. I do 10 vehicles for his family so I figured I could stretch it out somemore for him!!!
Here's the process.......
Wash Cycle.....
( 2 oz. DP Xtreme Foam, 4 oz. Purple Power, and 26 oz. water via foam gun)
I pressure washed the vehicle off to loosen and remove any debris. I then used Purple Power on all tires and inner fender wells. While this soaked, I foamed the entire ride. I used a black ShMitt and a bucket of clean water with a Grit-Guard to rinsed my mitt out as I washed the paint. I rinsed then dried. The tires were then treated with Armor Tire Foam.
Paint Correction/Protection.....
(Menzerna's P106ff via UDM and E2K yellow Pad at a #5 setting)
This stuff dusts but who cares.......it freaking works! No oily residue either. Just a squeaky clean surface. I used a lower than normal setting on the UDM and found that it helps keep the dusting down. Maybe it slows the breaking down of the compound. I then topped it with Menzerna's Sealing Wax via UDM and E2K White Pad. This chemical really cleans up any missed compound and really rouges up the clear coat. No dusting here though.
Interior.......
A combination of Folex, Purple Power and vacuuming is what it took here. Time too.........about 2 hours! It finally came out a lot better than start. I treated all plastics with DP's Interior Protectant. Glass was cleaned with Diamondite's Glass Cleaner.
This thing was an initial mess. I must have down good because it sold the next day for the asking amount!!!
Now that is what's rewarding to me.
Befores.......
