Hey guys. Been awhile I know but it's been hectic here. All 3 of my kids are now in school and I've been reworking my schedule to finish up at 2:30 so I can pick them up everyday.

I got a call from a bank on Friday. It was the bank's president (done his car ealier this month) asking me if I could do a full detail on a truck. It was a repo and was pretty rough. I said yep and the rest is in the pics!

Dang that is a good turnaround. I didn't know you had 3 kids!! Good luck to them in school and how sweet of you to pick them up everyday. :)

Very nice. How long did this job take you? I noticed you used a very aggressive pad with XMT 2. You didn't have any hazing or such left over after that combo?

No hazing at all. XMT and EDGE never fail me. I use an aggressive pad but I don't put alot of pressure down. I also finish up with very light, fast passes before XMT clears.

Oh yeah....Took me about 5 hours for the full thing.

How did you like the armorall dash and leather gel

Love all of their GELS.
As with the tire gel, the dash and leather go on smooth and brighten up in about 10 minutes. Smell is neutral.

A little goes a longgggg way too.

I used the tire gel on all othe exterior plastic trim as well.

OK....
Spray the engine down first with a heavy degreaser. I use Purple Power from Advanced Auto. Let sit for about 5 minutes. Crank the vehicle and presure washe while it's running. Close hood and let run for another 10 minutes until dry.

What did you use to get the wheel well so clean? I'm assuming the Karcher, but anything else?

Good question! I would like to know that as well. Product(s) and technique please.

Justin, nice job! Your fast, that would have taking me about 9 or 10 hours.

Sprayed well with Purple Power and let sit for 5 minutes. Hit it with the Karcher very thoroughly (turbo nozzle). I came back with my left over NXT wash water and Meg's Versa Brush and scrubbed the inside. After it dried out, I coated it with Meg's Hyper Dressing 1:1.

I do this on EVERY vehicle.

Hyper Dressing is awesome black parts. After I rinsed my engine out, I gave a liberal spray of Hyper on the the whole engine compartment. It looked awesome the next day after it all dried. I may run the engine next time to speed up the drying.

Do you also run the engine and spray it with water if it's an aluminum engine? I heard that that was bad for alum engines...I guess cracking is a concern?

I've had 12 Hondas (aluminum engines) and cleaned the motor sometimes 2 time a week. Never had a problem. Made sure to wrap up the distributor and wires though with a bag. Leaks on a HONDA.

Jason, you are the MAN! Im the MAN Im the MAN Looks great!

Thanks Justin. I've got a 98 Accord and an 05 Ody. That's good to know about the distributor (for the Accord).
