I got a call last night wanting me to do this vehicle. I had done a church bus for next to nothing (oh the vacuuming!), and the owner was impressed enough to let me do this red, F-250. It had been washed everyweek until the customer had to return to college. It was in fairly decent shape. Where I'm from, when you here F-250 you immediately think of mud and lot's of it! This was just an exterior detail. No engine and just a vacuum on the inside so no pics other than the outside.

Here's the process it recieved....

Start Time:
2:00PM
Finish Time:
5:00PM
Payment:
200.00

Washed and Clayed with Meguiar's NXT Car Wash
(Used EDGE Wash ShMitt and Meguiar's Clay)

DP's Mild Swirl Remover
(EDGE2K Green Medium Cutting Pad at a #5 PC setting)
Since I had plenty of shade and cool temps, I decided to use something that had not been out of my box since the summer. No fancy smells or bottles here. Just good old plain results. No fillers or tons of oils. Cut good and removed any swirls while amping up the finish. Finished off nicely with no dusting. A good chemical to use when inside.

Pinnnacle's Liquid Souveran
(EDGE2K Blue Finishing Pad at #3 PC setting)
(Removed with EDGE2K White Finishing Pad at a #5 PC setting)
With prior, awesome results on red, this was a no brainer to top off with. Once again, a little goes a long way with no effort at all. Nice smell and will not stain trim. A thin, transparent layer is all that is needed. I let it dry and haze while vacuuming. I love removing this wax with my PC and foam pad. Really heats up the wax and gives the paint a candy-shell finish. I came back and light buffed with a micro-fiber, ultra-plush towel.

Other Prducts used:
Simple Green Degreaser 10:1
(Tires, wheels, wells, grill, and lower panels)
I've been wanting to try this stuff out for a long time. My wife picked up some for me from Lowes last night. Works so good! Even at 10:1. This makes it very cost efficient. I was amazed at how well it cut through brake dust and bugs. No streaking and the smell was suprisingly nice.
Armor All Tire Foam
(Pre-cleaner for tires and wells)
Armor Tire Gel
(Applied to tires after wiping AA Foam off)
Stoner's Invisible Glass

Befores...

That red really glows now! Nice work, Justin.
I really like the shape of those tires.

NIce work as always!!! Nice truck too!!! I got DP's mild swirl remover as part of my free give so I will have to give it a try when I do something in the shade.

Wait till you see my DP order! It just came and man, I'm in heaven.

I'll be posting pics here in awhile of it.

good job, that thing looked just...dull and dirty in the befores. looks perfect in the afters

A truck like in 3 hours with PC: WTF! I mean, WWJD!!!

:awesome:

Unbelievable that you can achieve results like that in such little time. LOVE IT!

Nice red one.

Good one as always, those wheels really "did" that truck.

oh man i just remembered an f250 that came in ike 2 days ago...before i go any further i must explain i also wear contact lenses. anyways this thing was absolutely covered in dry mud. wheel wells were covered.so i was spraying them with the pressure washer and as i moved towards the front of the well, the mud comes flying right back at me, got my face, right in the eyes

Justin would this be the same as applying with black LC pad and removing with blue LC pad? I hope so because that looks awesome.

Nice work Justin, seemed like a pretty easy one there. DP is truly an underrated brand, but probably my FAVORITE brand!! :)

Very nice work, Justin. Those wheels look great with just the Simple Green degreaser. You really brought out the "red" in that sweet truck with the Pinn.Liquid Souveran.
Thanks for the tip on AA foam for the trim/molding in a previous post. It's working great for me. I only used the Foam on the bumpers, tires, trim, molding and side mirrors. Didn't use any AA Gel. Just wanted to see how the foam held up. It's almost 2 weeks and it rained twice. The bumpers, side mirrors, trim and molding are still looking great. No streaking. The tires have lost most of the shine, but it's still nice and black. Thank-you for the great tips!!

Changed the color of the red! Looks excellent!

:confused:Justin, how in the hell do you wash a truck that size, then clay, then dry, then polish and remove, then wax and remove, detail the wheels and tires and wheel wells in 3 hours? Exterior alone for that process would take me 6 hours+!!!! I mean are you going so fast you "blur" like Flash Gordon? Did Santa let you borrow some elves? No way I could do it! Kudos bro:applause:

Nice, love the wet look and the depth you get.

:awesome:

I seriously don't know how you do it. That thing is massive, yet you got it done like as though it was a little civic...even a civic would take me hours to clean up like you did.

Hands down you the MAN!!!!

:applause:

Thank you for the write up, always love your write ups. Helps junior memebers like my self :D

Likewise. I'd be happy if I could finish that thing in one day!

Nice work Justin.

You the man! Awesome work, and what a truck!

On a different note, I can see you in an F-250 maybe in Yellow?

Yeah. Ford's got a special edition one out in yellow. I can't remember the name of it but it was huge and yellow!!!

I like my Ranger though. Small to get into small areas and have good gas mileage. I'm getting a shell for it in January and I'm going to make trim panels and cabinets for it on the inside. A heater to for keeping my bottles from freezing!!!
