Well, I finally got a chance to start detailing my truck again after getting it back from the body shop after my wife's little 'mishap' and here it is. Products used were XMT 3 & 1, DG 601, DG 105 (3 coats) & DG AW (2 coats). For the trim and tires I used 303.

Nice job. Glad you got her back! Sweet reflections. How do you like the DG stuff? I'm becoming a big fan. I think the two last pics are the best. Awesome work.

Nice work, just orderd the DG 101 and 105, so its nice to see that it gave a good result. Did you feel you got a BIG difference after the 2nd and 3rd coat of the #105?

Looks great!! Wicked reflections!! :p Like Truls said, did you notice a big difference with the additional coats? Each time I see the Show n Shine pics with DG, I'm glad that I ordered mine. Gets here on Monday!! You've got the Honda and the Chevy looking great!!

Thanks guys.

sparkie: I love DG. It's the easiest I've worked with it as far as application and removal, even in full sun. And it looks great too. :D

Truls & alban61: I did notice a difference in appearance and in slickness, but as far as it being a BIG difference, I guess it depends on your definition of big. lol The appearance definitely looked better after the second coat, a little harder to notice a difference with the third, but I can feel the difference when running my hand over the surface.

Truls: Did you also order any Aquawax? It's pretty good stuff, and the method I use is the method Al-53 does which is one layer of 105, wait a day, then a layer of AW and repeat until you get 2 or 3 coats of the 105. Seems like a pretty good method to me as I've gotten pretty decent results.

No i didnt buy the AW, but i have found out that the AW and Collinite products will be in my next order.

When you say layering, do you mean, 3 x 105 over 3 days, and after that 2 x AW over 2 days. do you take it off after aplying each time then aplay a new coat, or is it: aplay, aplay, aplay then remove?

No, apply the AW between the 105 layers removing each coat. I left the 105 on for about 45 minutes before removing. I did the Yukon with 24 hours between each coat only because I was off work all this week, but the car I waited ~12 hours between each.

thanks, ill try the same you did when my DG arives. The finish on your car looks great.

Truls, get the A/W, it's awesome stuff. I went back and order the gallon.

What should be the durability of 1 coat of 105 + 1xAquawax?
What drying time has 105?
