I hope I can remember how to do this! I've been swamped the last 3 weeks with washes and vac's. I've actually made money and got done earlier than from doing full details. But where's the fun in that!?!?

This is a new client that owns a Century21 in a nearby town. I had 3 scheduled for full details but walk-in customers turned 2 of them into wash/vac's/ Oh well, I get do them fully next and made it a little easier on myself but tidying them up now! I hate to say it, but this thing was trashed. Very dirty inside and out. Good thing is that she wants me to keep it up weekly. I knocked out the other 2 and went to work on this one. It was a pleasant 42* at noon.......ok, it sucks! Oh well, I could be slapping shingles on!

Here's the process:

DP 4-in-1 Wash and Clay
(Washed a panel then clayed a panel.....saved a ton of time!)
Still so impressed with this system. Saves me a ton of water. I did blast off the lower half and wells along with the tires and wheels with my pressure washer. I figured I saved about 15 gallons of water easily.

Menzerna Intensive Polish
(EDGE2K Green Med. Cutting Pad at a #6 PC Setting)
I've been wanting to try this line up for awhile and thanks to "supercharged" and the sample he sent me, I was now able too. This stuff cut really well. The clear seemed soft so I was able to remove 95% of the swirls with the PC. This stuff is very concentrated. Once the pad was prime with a QD, it only took a pea-sized amount per panel. There was no dusting and wiped clean. No marring at all. I hope AG will consider to carry this line.

Meguiar's NXT Liquid Tech Wax
(EDGE2K White Fine Polishing Pad at a #4 PC Setting)
When I headed out this morning, I looked in the cabinent to see what LSP I wanted to try. I decided with NXT for 2 reasons: First, it looks really good on silver and light metallics and second, I simple haven't used it in a while! It only takes a little to do an entire car. Goes on smooth and almost vanishes. I always put two coat on. Not to layer but to give an even, uniform coat. I grabbed a towel and wiped it up. Was so easy and the metallics were popping! Not a bad look for over the counter.

Other Products Used:
DP Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner
(Very good stuff. Comes way to strong though. I've cut it 1:1 and now is perfect to me.)
DP Total Interior Cleaner
(Cleaned every inch of interior plastic with this. Works very well.)
DP Interior Protectant
(Leaves a nice matte finish with a light banana smell. My customers love the scent and look.)
DP Krystal Vision Glass Cleaner
(The best glass cleaner I've used to date. Has made my most hated step a breeze now!)
Armor All Tire Foam
(Spray onto engine, tires, and wells while still wet. Wiped cleaned with an MF Mitt after drying.)
Armor All Tire Gel
(Applied with occompanied applicator.)

Thanks to all.
I appreciate each and everyone of you on any forum!

Nice job, but he owns a Century 21 branch and drives a Kia, not saying Kia's bad or anything but kinda funny lol. I had to do a project for Century 21 back in college, most of their offices/branches are doing over 7 figs a year in revenue.

Yep. A KIA. Not a bad ride considering the 7year/100k warranty. This one has 52k on it already. And it's a her that's the owner. She has 4 other rides:

06 Escalade
04 G35 Coupe
and 2 Harleys!!!

Nice work... yeah that Kia struck me an odd choice for the owner of a branch. Maybe it is his WINTER car or something.

Maybe it is her winter car then. lol, BTW don't Kias come with a 10 YEAR/100k mile warranty? It is a great warranty, my dad wants me to get one LOL.

Ah ok, that's a little more normal lol.

Great job, Justin! I'm glad you liked Menzerna IP. It does works very well.
I myself really want to see AG carrying Menzerna line, that is all Menzerna Professional polishes (PO85RD, PO106FF, and others).

Maybe they will listen to me at Detail Fest!

Or kick me out!

So what did you do Justin, secretly switch the thrashed out Kia for a new one. Great job as always and I really appreciate you letting us all know the steps that you do for such great results. Mike...

No problem at all. It's kind of a fetish that I have now!!!

Write ups to the extreme.

Thanks bro.

Nice job !! Interior was looking really good on the afters. One question justin... Do you throw the armor all on the engine bay before the polishing of the exterior?? I've had issues with foam spray getting all over the car in the past.

Nice writeup and review of products !! I will one day have a sweet camera and show off my work as well.

Justin, I bow down to you... You are the man at detailing! Great work like always I always look forward to reading your write ups! Im dieing to see you Rotary write up!

Ryan

Dude how do you do it, wow every detail you do you make it look like new. The interior was looking horrible and you turned it around to new state.

You do amazing work, I guess practice makes perfect....good job. Great write up as always.

you rock, justin. you have a talent, that's for certain!

Great job Justin! :applause:

It would be VERY nice for AG to carry Menzerna product line. I could spend more money on AG instead of that "other" place for Merenza. AG should highly consider carrying their line.

After rinsing the car off of dirt and grime, I then move to the bay. I cover it with degreaser and blast it. I then cover it with Armor All foam, close the hood and crank the car. I now go back and wash the car rinseless style. Takes care of any overspray.

The cranking of the car allows the engine's heat to evaporate the water leaving a shiny engine behind!

Justin,
That looks like my wife's car and it is not 4wd. Very nice.

BTW....How do you clean out the door jams and rockers panels when there is lots of dirt present.

Thanks
Ken

I soak them with an APC and then blast them with my pressure washer. I do this before I vacuum. That way if I get any water inside, I can suck it up. I have pretty good aim though now.

Thanks for the heads up on the engine bay. I guess I was doing that step a little late in my process. You da man !

I also dress my tires and wells first before washing the vehicle. How you might ask? Ah, the beauty of a rinseless wash. By washing after the tires and engine are done, all overspray is taken care of!
