Ok.....This thing was HUGE!
7 hours invested in this one. Interior was a mess but I've seen worse. The out side was swirled beyond belief. As you can see, he live on a farm. At least he's using this truck for what it was made for.
Here's what it got...

Pinnacle XMT #3 Swirl Remover

(EDGE 2000 Yellow Cutting Pad at #5)

Pinnacle XMT Glaze

(EDGE 2000 Orange Polishing Pad at #3)

DP's Max Wax

(2 coats by hand...removed by hand)

Once again the XMT line came through for me. Even though XMT #3 is aggressive, light passes at the end let it polish out well with no marring. The glaze helped bring out the metallics and give the glow. Max Wax went on smooth giving the high gloss finish we love.

Other Products Used:

Armor All Tire Gel
Meguiar's Hyper Dressing
Meguiar's APC
Stoner's Invisible Glass
Cobra Micro Fibers

Good work. Friend has a new 3500 Cummins Ram, manual trans, long bed etc. He just gives it a wash and that's about it, has it lifted and everything, too much of a pain in the ass, he doesn't eve want to wash/dry it LOL. Has the Banks 6 Gun pack and other stuff (might be going for custom turbo setup for more power), torque is so strong you can go through the gears without touching the gas or even start off in 4th:awesome:

I want a diesel bad again, his truck is much larger and heavier (besides being lifted on 35's) and get's better gas mileage then my 4500LB V8 suv :D

geez you guys aren't detailers your Master Mechanics:p

Justin i'm not sure what to say anymore all your work is professional, another nice job. I see your getting alot of use with the XMT line. Looks like sweet product. I read on another site i think it was the XMT 1, that it has long working time with no dusting and finishes up super slick..

It does. XMT 3 has some dusting...about the same at #82/#83. You do get alot of work time in the shade and the sun. I'm thinking there's lots of lube there. Minds out of the gutter!

Justin you need a diesel, more room, much better gas mileage, lottso power:D

But yes again, great work you do.

Wow, that truck looks awesome. What was the time split between the exterior and the interior?

5 hours exterior and 2 hour interior. Was so big. Fun though. I got to do in that barn. It has a lift in there and lot's of moving air.
Paid 350.00.

Nice work justin!

Must be nice to work in an area like that, I wish I lived in the country. :( Oh well, keep up the good work bro!

Alot of referrals. I got 4 fresh calls today alone from referrals. I am the only doing it here. Being mobile has helped me out alot. Customers love it. I think they like my work too.

In 5 months I've spent 125.00 on cards....that's all. I still have about half of them!

Word of mouth referals get the most buisness and you do really great work so thats easy marketing for you. By the way that thing got a Hemi!..:D

I will say that competent detailers, nevermind a very good one like yourself, are very hard to find. I'm in northwest NJ and I could not find a single detailer in my area. The only detail shops I found were basically the in house detailers at car dealerships. I wasn't about to pay $200 for a guy to wash and hand wax my car.

Your work is amazing. I know that if you were in my area, I would pay for an annual all out detail on my cars.

How "mobile" do you consider mobile? You willing to exchange a detail in NJ for a guided tour of NYC? :D

I might have to think this one over!

lmao, thought you said "guido tour":D

It's cool that some of you are getting most business by word of mouth. Same in my business, nothing beats a client calling saying so and so referred me.

I personally think that one of the best advantages of being mobile is that customer's cars will not have hot wheel rotors which when suddently cooled down can be damaged by a sudden temperature changes, later causing customer a problem resurfacing, or even worse - replacing rotors. That's why it's better to chose a mobile detailer, rather then go to a detail shop. Mention it to customers as well, man.

Word of mouth is the best advertising you can get IMHO. You have the skills to pay the bills Congrats on all your fine work ..
