Hey everyone, just had a detail to share with you. The car overall was in pretty good shape, except for the rear bumper where there was evidence of being lightly rear-ended, and a few marks on the hood from snow removal last winter. Besides two specific areas, the paint was in great shape, as well as the interior. The interior only needed a quick vac and dressing and it was good-to-go. Here was my process:
Wash:
Optimum Wash w/LC Ulti-Mitt
Wheels:
Meg's Wheel Brightener
Tires dressed w/ WG tire gel
Paint:
Clayed w/DP clay and Pinn Clay Lube
Spot compounded rear bumper and hood with Menz Powergloss Compound S34A and orange LC CCS pad and UDM speed 6
Menz Sealing Wax APO 60 with white LC CCS pad and UDM speed 6
Interior:
303 Cleaner mixed 12:1
303 Protectant
Misc:
Tailpipes polished with Nevr-Dull
Before:
Afters:
This was the first time I tried out both Powergloss Compound and APO 60, and I was pretty impressed. The Powergloss Compound made easy work of the rear bumper and the pretty deep scratches on the hood, but finished nicely. APO 60 worked beautifully as well, I was surprised at how well it took care of the minor defects that were present. I thought for sure I was going to have to go to something with more bite.
