Got the chance to work on my sister's 4Runner when she was in town a couple weeks ago. She didn't want the 2 or 3 step polish as the paint was not a concern, so we went with an All-In-One polish for the exterior, reset on the interior and also gave some TLC to the engine bay.

What I was working with:

Hopefully everyone enjoyed the documentary and thanks for viewing.

For a 11 year old vehicle, AMAZING! That could not have been a daily driver? What's the mileage?

Awesome detailed photos. Great documentation and work.

Two words come to mind. Glossy and clean!

Interior appeared pretty gunked up. Outside wasn't that bad. She must frequent touchless car washes. The paint looked very good prior to your polishing, you took it to another level.

Polishing or cleaning the oxidized trim on the luggage rack, now that is paying attention to details. How much of discount did you give your sister?

Thank you! And no charge for the detail. She had came in town to care for my father after his surgery so I took care of her car while she was here. Win win for everyone.

That is the way it should be. Nice job, bro!

I couldn't charge my sister, brother, mom or dad. The in-laws, now that is a different story:). Jk

Another great post. I'm also impressed with the luggage roof rack. Things like that make all the difference in its overall look. Right on for taking care of it for your sister. Out of curiosity, which AIO did you use?

Thanks!

Very nice!!!! What did you dress the engine with?

I used some Adams VRT to dress the engine bay.

Nice, how do you like the Makita?

I love it! Upgraded from the PC 7424. Corrects so much faster and less vibration on the hands so I feel like I could polish for days. I only use the forced rotation setting and can't imagine why I would use the other. It has a good amount of weight to it too, so on vertical panels it can feel a little heavy after a couple passes but I would buy it all over again.

Nicely one. We have three 4runners, one for each of the kids. We love them. They really hold up and polish up beautifully. Again, great clean up! Phil

Duy, those engine shots look incredible! Beautiful work all around and a testament to the effectiveness of a good cleaner wax (AIO).

I grew up in a household where my parents owned one and eventually passed it on to my brother. My sister ended getting one herself and eventually she got a newer model. I love these cars and their durability! And they sure do polish up beautifully! Thanks!

Thanks Paul! 3-in-1 has become a staple in my detail arsenal. I eventually want to try Speed and 360. I hear they are easier to remove, not that it's a big deal with 3-in-1.
