I recevied a call from this vehicles owner on Saturday of last week. He has just bought a home here on our local lake. A 6500 sq. foot home with 8 bedrooms! After getting directions and instructions on what he needed done I headed out yesterday morning. It was 42* and breezy and it was a 12 mile trip.......4 of which was gravel roads. When I got there, my jaw dropped. This place was huge! He came out to meet me and quickly handed me 3, 100.00 bills. He said that the front door was open and that I could go in to get drinks and to use the restroom. Then, he left. The vehicle was just plainly dirty. The interior was immaculate. Like new. I didn't take many pics of it since my memory card went bad and I wanted to take some of the house.

Here's the process:

Wash,Wheels, and Tires

(Washed with Poorboy's Super Slick Suds and wash ShMitt. Tires and wells were cleaned with Purple Power and wheel ShMitt.)
I just received a sample of the PB's SS&S. This stuff is so foamy! It took half of what it took of NXT to get the same suds. It was so slick too. Cleaning wasn't as tough but acceptable. The smell was wonderful. I was told if I ever used this, I would have a new shampoo and now I do!

I also clayed while washing. This soap made this process so easy. Never seemed to make my clay brittle either.

Paint Polishing and Protection

Pinnacle's Advanced Swirl Remover & Advanced Finishing Polish
"The Twins"

(Used EDGE2K Green Pad at a #5 setting for both.)
I simply used one side of the pad for the ASR, did the panel, flipped the pad over and finished off the panel with AFP. This is one of the beauties of the EDGE system. Saved me so much time. Oh yeah, the Twins. These are great polishes. There were some scuff and heavy swirls but ASR took care of them. I'm guessing the new Escalades have a tough clear coat. Seemed that way. Took some heavy pressure to remove stubborn swirls. The Twins never dusted and seemed fairly concentrated. I very nice edition to my collection.

Pinnacle Souveran Paste
(Applied by hand with foam applicator pad)
Wow. Just wow. I've always wondered if I would be able to tell the difference between Souveran and Max Wax other than the 50.00+ worth. When I opened it, the smell was awesome. I wiped my finger accross it and the wax melted like butter. I loaded up my pad and went to work. I covered the entire Escalade (roof too) in about 25 minutes. It went on so easy. I maybe had to return to the container 3-4 times for more wax. A little goes so far. It came off just as easy. I let the front facsia dry while I cleaned the interior just to see how hard it would be to remove. Still came off easy. Of course there was no dusting. After seeing this, I had to cover the wheels with it! The looks were deep and wet and the pearl paint was screaming. Oh yeah, the interior wood trim also got a coat! This is simply my new favorite wax.

Other Products Used:

Meguiar's APC
(Interior surfaces)
DP Interior Protectant
(Interior plastic surfaces)
Pinnacle Leather Cleaner/Conditioner Spray
(All leather surfaces)
Turtle Wax Platinum Tire Shine
(A gracious sample that was sent to me. I used it on the tires and wells. Came out great! Good stuff.)
Pinnacle Souveran
(Interior wood trim and clear plastics)
DP Krystal Vision Glass Cleaner

I realy should stop reading your post. its costly;)

I liked the 37" LCD in the bathroom!
That would be nice! I get tired of the same old magazines.:D
Oh yeah nice job as always. Nice tip about flipping the pad. I have been trying to figure out if the edge system is the way to go. It may be cheaper for me since I have all LC pads to just go get another PC from Lowes. lol

Beautiful work Justin, I look forward to seeing you work at DetailFest.

Looks amazing... Like always great job... Nice house my dad builds ones like that for a living

That SUV looks really sharp, it's white and you still managed to get it looking nice and wet, good job.

That house is insane....the theater room is wiked....and not to mention the rest of the house....wow.

Very nice job - I really like the new Escalade. Very cool house as well.

Great looking job. You had to make him happy that he moved there.

Stupid question. You're tall but what do you use to reach the top of those big ones? My two stepper is too shakey, and have to extend my arms too far for PC work.

Looks nice Justin. Did you start detailing houses too??? I think the granite counter top in the kitchen could use a nice sealant and wax. From my experience I think Liquid Souveran looks better then the paste on a white car and is a lot cheaper.

Justin, Why do most of the houses in Georgia have so many bedrooms and bathrooms? When my wife and I were looking for a house up there it was hard to find a house like we wanted without 5 or 6 bedrooms and bathrooms. You guys must like making lots of kids up there.

Ok, I'll be the nosey one here. Can you expand on the statement below?
Is this a new level of service;)

He came out to meet me and quickly handed me 3, 100.00 bills.

LOL ^^

Nice work as always. When customers say you can go inside for drinks and the restroom, do you always snoop around. ;)

that house is incredible nd the 'lade looks beautiful, wheels not so much. the finish looks great but i do not find those wheels to be in good taste personally.
your one of the first to put souveran on the interior haha, thats new, did it smell like souveran in there after?you need to find someone with a black vehicle though. and do you now feel it is worth the money?

Yeh I have family up in GA, one of the houses is 4K sqft and has 6 bedrooms, another is about 7K and has 10 bedrooms and don't recall what my other aunt has.

And then I just did a home down here, on the water, just under 8K sqft and it was a 4/4...with a huge f'n living room as it was only 1 story lol.

Justin nice job, I just hate the chrome on the new trucks, way to bling blingy for me lol. I wouldn't mind if the truck was black and had black chrome, now that would look nice and mean. I think the new Denali looks less gaudy.

I love this post! Not only because you did a fantastic job on the Escalade, but also because you showed us pics of your snooping session in his house.

AWESOME!!!

great job ,hey i noticed the bed wasnt made did you take a nap in it after the detail?? :D
