Cust had two hybrid vehicles, one for herself and one is her daughters. On another quick note, has anyone done an engine detail on a hybrid? If so what do you have to be careful about?

Outside:
Hand wash wax based shampoo
Clayed with meduim duty clay

On the Toyota I used green pad with cyclo and my glaze/wax mix
On the Honda I used greed pad with cyclo and my polish/wax mix

Rims both cleaned with quick spray detail
Tires and wheel wells dressed with Tire dressing

Pre-wash:

I don't use any water on engine details with Hybrids. I usally do a dry wipe down to get the dirt and dust off and then apply some type of dressing. That's what I do... but I don't do many hybrids or engine details for that matter.

Anyway you could show us the engine/battery bay on one of those?

Sure thing, I'm going back to their house this weekend. I will get shots of both cars and post them under this thread

Nice work.

Where in Texas are you?

Central Texas... more specific Belton, even more specific Morgans Point. I see your in dallas, what do you run up there?

Very nice...I just love your set up dude.

You made quick work of those hy-brids.

Like the pictures.

Thanks for sharing.

Here is the engine compartment of a 2004 Prius I believe. I think the batteries are in the trunk area for this vehicle, but there were many warnings saying not to touch anything pretty much :p

Interesting, I have an RX400h and have shot it down with P21S TAW, rinsed it off, and topped with 303. My battery is also in the rear, so I assumed everything up front is the same as any combustible engine. Haven't had any problems since then, about 4 months now.

What "signs" did you notice?

I can't remember what they said exactly, but in the above picture you can see it on the grey cover on the right. The rest of the engine is normal with the exception of that area. I think it said something about not removing the cover unless you are Toyota certified, high voltage, and things like that.... I don't own the vehicle, I just detail it .

ahh yes, the Synergy Hybrid Drive. I have the same, but my warning label is covered by a plastic housing. A little different than the Prius.

You're in Belton? My buddy own Weber's Sporting Goods in Temple. I live in Austin myself...

Sweet... ya I know where Weber's is at. Do you own you own detailing out-fit in austin? We should hook up sometime and talk. Maybe in like Georgetown or Roundrock.

Nice! I actually don't own my own detailing business like you do, I just detail on the side through friends, family and referrals. I only wish to spend my Saturday mornings doing it as my job keeps me quite busy as is. But yes, when you're ever in the Austin/Round Rock area (I work in Round Rock) you should definitely let me know!
