This was the first correction I've done using 3M products. Overall I like the results. The car was badly neglected for years since bought new. The owner was a friend of mine and helped out. He was blown away by the end result.

Foamed
Clayed
Rinsed
blown dry
Corrected using 3M Perfect-It #1 and then #2
Sealed with DP Poly sealant
Waxed using Dodo Blue Velvet the next day

All done with elbow grease LC pads and the PC 7336 I've had for over 10 years. It hasn't died yet so it's staying.

The rest of the pictures are in my gallery. Prost!!!

Looks pretty good. Any direct pictures of the paint after the machine polishing?

While the 3M polish range is acceptable it is less than ideal to use them on a DA. 3M polishes are designed for rotary use.

Looks incredible! Nicely done. Those last 2 pics look beautiful. I'm also glad to hear of another PC7336 user. Had mine about as long as you and the thing keeps rockin' and rollin'. Kinda pissing me off cus i want a FLEX!!!

Great pics - the car looks fantastic. Out of curiosity, what prompted you to give the 3M products a whirl?

great job, not to be a jerk, but you should foam, let dwell then rinse then 2 bucket wash. Foam is meant to loosen the dirt not actually remove it. That is what the two bucket wash does. That paint was hammered and I love having a nicely corrected black car

All those great before pics of defects, but no after pics of the same manner? What a tease :)

Looks like it has a nice gloss on it though, just do some before/after pics of the correction next time.

Amazing work on that Detroit Import, you really put a shine and depth into that paintwork

I apologize. I did 2 bucket wash after the foam. Clayed when wet as well. The correction fluid I used is the line that's for DA's.

Damn that paint was HAMMERED! You did a great job saving it, hopefully you told the owner how to keep it from getting like that again...right?

I did. He's now a believer in the 2 bucket method and uses air and MF towels to dry his car. Thanks for the compliments.
