Had the pleasure of working on this beast. This car belongs to a client’s brother and is just over a year old. We met when he had just bought the car and I’m happy to say that he followed my advice, in terms of proper wash technique. Another plus side is that this car has only seen a carwash once in its life. Onto the detail itself...
Wheels were tackled with Sonax extreme wheel cleaner and a Variety of brushes. Being lowered, the arches proved to be a bit tricky but I soldiered on. Car was washed using the 2 bucket method and Carways Maxi Shampoo, paintwork was decontaminated with Auto Finesse Oblitarate as well as Auto Finesse Iron out and rinsed again. I then clayed the car using Meguiars Fine Clay.
Given the relatively good condition of the paint I went for a product that I have somewhat neglected as of late. But this detail definitely reminded me of the results to be had. The product of choice to tackle the minor defects…Meguiar's Speed Glaze M80 + meguiars yellow polishing pads.
One of the passenger side doors had been 'attacked' by a trolley at the local market. M80 wasn’t upto the task and I decided on something a little stronger-Ultimate Compound. Finally laid down a layer of collinite 845. Sorry for the lack of pictures during the actual detail, was really stuck for time on this one and only managed a few snaps.
