Yes it does look good.

What is your trick for the aluminum polishing?

Mine will never get that good mirror finish to it.

Looks good sparkie! The aluminum really looks great after you polished it. I would have guessed you used Duragloss on the paint even before I read you review. The white car in the background looks familiar.

Mothers power ball mini and a high rpm drill.

sparkie, do you like the Mother's Power Ball? What else do you use it for?

The mini! nice good to know i have the power ball but not the mini

Thank You Sir

Thanks guys for your commits, I really want to think 3 Dog and Ted Gamble for their help. It's harder to do a bike then a car. The owner was very please and he said that he had the bike detail before, but it never look as good as it dose now. He couldn't get over how slick the paint was and how the aluminum look like chrome.
Here's the link which help me out, again thanks goes to 3 Dog and Ted Gamble.

sparkie, does the Mother's Power Ball work on cast aluminum that has not been polished where the surface is still rough from the casting? I have been trying to get the cast aluminum valve covers on my old vette to look like new but I have not found anything to do it. I even had the valve covers off last month and replaced the caskets. Before I put them back on I tried every thing I could think of on them. They look better but not like new. Here's a picture of them before I took them off.

If I can't find anything to clean them better I have been thinking about having them sand blasted or glass beaded. Do you think Mother's power ball will work on them?

Nice job Sparkie. I was happy to see that your customer was happy with the results. Bikers are a tough crowd to please when it comes to their bikes. You're right, bikes are much tougher to do than cars. I have two bikes in my garage and they are very time consuming to detail. I love doing them but then again I'm a Geek. ;)

Gary, this will work! But it's a lot of work.
1-take parts off engine
2-sand it down with sand paper until its slick
3-mother's power ball with your aluminum polish and go to town
I would test an area first.

Great job Sparkie...and thank you for the cudos.
Bike detailing is kinda a new world. I imagine going into boat detailing would take some changes also.
Another note....the new Flitz mini thingie.....looks like that may be good for doing heads. If you beat me to it let me know.

Thanks sparkie, That really sounds like a lot of work. Having them sand blasted or glass beaded sounds a lot easier and it's not very expensive.

Any problems using #2 Adams with PowerBall? I assume not. It's a good polish for how easy it is to use.

Gary, the more I thought about it, I don't know if you can sand down cast aluminum. I really don't know you might be able too. Anyhoo this was a scrap piece of aluminum I made an emblem out of. Had a sticker draw it out and cut it out, sand and polish it. PM sent!
