So a couple days ago i detailed this lexus GX470 (love the color!) Some background on this car: It's not that old (she's had it 6 months) and it's been through too many auto washes (lots of little swirls). She also drives carpool in the morning, so there are a bunch of spills and sticky messes all over the place from kids. It only gets washed like once a month so there is always bird crap and dirt all over the car (not that bad this time) :)

Wash:
Started out with the Wolfgang Tire and wheel cleaner, made the wheels spotless!
Then I foamed the whole car with DP Autowash, it makes a lot of foam and it smells like banana! I had to climb all over the tires to reach onto the roof, i think i need a step ladder...
I used the flood method and dried the whole car w/ a cobra guzzler (love this thing!)

Clay:
I started off and just clayed one door. I asked her to feel the difference between the door and the rest of the car, and needless to say she wanted the whole car clayed!:awesome: (used DP clay and clay lube)

Polish:
I needed some practive with the PC so i polished the hood on the car and got all the swirls out (for free, i said it was an intorductory offer:p)

Wax:
I waxed the whole [giant] car in about 10 minutes with Natty's Blue and a PC ( the PC makes it really easy!) buffing off w/ a microfiber towel.

Misc:
Dressed the trim w/ 303 Protectant

Interior:
Took out the floor mats and sprayed down w/ Woolite stain remover (had some gnarly stains still there after a previous shampooing/stain removal). Vacuumed the whole interior. cleaned up all the sticky messes etc with DP Interior cleaner, then went back over most of the car w/ DP interior Protectant.

I think it turned out pretty well, tell me what you think, Pics:

wicked colour....I like that blue...they didn't have it when I purchased my GX 470 so we got silver...I like the silver now....but I still like blue. That is one dirty car though the clay looked terrible for one door. My GX will never look that bad. Very nice write up buddy, I nejoyed it.

Hey pirex, I call my GX my mini Land Cruiser hahahaha...well it actually is the mini version of the Land Cruiser I didn't know that till a friend of mind showed me the picture you posted here.

Looks great man! Thanks for the write-up also. It makes the "Show 'n Shine" that much more enjoyable. Looking at the quality of your work, you need to start charging more :) !

"Turned out pretty well" is an understatement. That car looks fantastic.

Man that was some dirty clay. I am always impressed with NB and how good it looks. I might need to get some.

Nattys Blue made that truck look dripping wet and deep:righton:, buy some Chemical Guys EZ-Creme glaze and try some NB over it.

So that's a Landcruiser over there? Weird, I thought Yota called it something else, the Pajero or something like that. If thats the Landcruiser, then what do they call the big brother? Especially with the new LC/LX model comming out thats much larger then before. We have an LX470.

If just the door was that bad, what about hood and roof? That's where most contaminents land. Anyway, great job! natty's blue looks really good on blue...:D :righton:

Thanks for the compliments! the roof and the hood were preeeeetttyyy bad.

how much would this usually cost (wash, clay, wax, stain removal, vacuuming, tire/trim dressing)?

thanks!
