Hey guys! First off I want to thank all those that gave me advice on products and techniques. I am extremely impressed with the products that I purchased from Autogeek, and I have never felt my paint so smooth, or look so good in my life, not even after a professional detail.

I also assisted with the Orient Blue E21, but did not do an evasive detail due to time constraints.
The steps I used on my E21 (the green one) were as follows. (8 hours total)

Gold Class car wash
Wolfgang Poly clay
XMT #2 with Orange pad
XMT #1 with White pad
First coat UPP by hand, let cure 24 hours
Second coat with 7424 and Grey pad let cure for 24 hours
First coat Pinnacle Signature Series by hand
Second coat with Blue pad
Crystal Mist Carnuba spray
Awaiting 3rd coat of wax
Black Diamond Tire Gel

Enjoy!

nice rides...you live out in the elsinore area?

Holy sh!t!!! I'm also a huge old school BMW fan. I just sold my E30 91 318is a few months back, and have owned 3 E36's, 2 of them M3's. I love pre 2000 MY Bimmers. Nice work on your Green one! It's gorgeous. That must be a repaint though right?

Both are beautiful.:applause: I love them years BMW's.

Thanks for the compliments guys!

The green one is original BMW color called Resedagreen Metallic, and was repainted in 2001.

The green e21 is 79 320i with a built 2.1L M10 @ 160hp

The blue one is a 78 320i T3 .60 trim turbocharged 2.0L @ ~200hp and 200tq

Not bad for a car that only came with 100hp and 100tq stock

The pctures were taken in the Corona area.

Hah, my dad bought it new in 78, me and my sister came home from the hospital in that car. Way too much history with that big money waste.

Awesome looking cars. I love that vintage of BMW's. The green one is a great color! Looks like you did a great job detailing it. I really dig the Alpina wheels too!

Dood.. that car ROCKS! Love the old school 3 series! Great pics too!
