Hi everyone! I have been lurking and soaking up all this wonderful information since June and I wanted to introduce myself. I'm Richard, but everyone calls me RP. I detailed cars about 10 years ago in college for extra spending money and always loved it. Looking back, I knew nothing and didn't know any better. Recently, I sold a vehicle that I had a lot of positive equity in and used the money to start a detailing business here in Florence, SC. I have been on here everyday and learn something new. Also, I would like to say that you guys seem like some of the kindest people around. Your community is amazing. Some of my biggest struggles right now are efficiency and finding customers. I also know that Rome wasn't built in a day. Hats off to Autogeek too. I have placed two orders and love the speed of arrival and knowledge of the staff. I can't say enough about good things about all of you.

Hi Richard,

Welcome to Autogeek Online! :welcome:

I detailed cars about 10 years ago in college for extra spending money and always loved it. Looking back, I knew nothing and didn't know any better.

Things have really changed a lot in the last few years and even more in the last 10 years... abrasive technology, buffing pad technology, both foam and fiber, wax, sealant and coating technology, etc.

The good news is via discussion forums a person can educate themselves as fast as they want to learn.

Recently, I sold a vehicle that I had a lot of positive equity in and used the money to start a detailing business here in Florence, SC.

The first big step... congratulations on taking it. We'll do our best to help you succeed.

I have been on here everyday and learn something new. Also, I would like to say that you guys seem like some of the kindest people around. Your community is amazing.

This is a very helpful and friendly forum and it has a community with a strong knowledge base on all things detailing. The BEST news is you won't find anyone talking down to you in a demeaning manner, not going to happen on this forum.

Some of my biggest struggles right now are efficiency and finding customers. I also know that Rome wasn't built in a day.

Simply post any question you have about getting more customers to this forum group...

Hats off to Autogeek too. I have placed two orders and love the speed of arrival and knowledge of the staff. I can't say enough about good things about all of you.

This company is the definition of teamwork and customer care... Autogeek pretty much sets the standard for others to follow.

Again... welcome...

:)

Welcome aboard, Pro. Finding customers, in ANY business, is the hardest struggle. Hang in there. Like Mike said, ask questions and look around the board. There is a ton of info and we are all here to support each other.
