Detailers Confessional

Before I got into detailing (about 3 months ago...about the same time my money keeps disappearing from all the new products and BOGOs I needed to buy) I use to call spraying down the car with the hose and letting the sun dry it a "car wash." Before that "car wash" I never washed it at all. It wasn't until my car was repainted (3 months ago) due to clear coat failure that I suddenly started caring for it...almost to the point of obsession...buying new products all the time (more than I will ever need), and washing it weekly, as opposed to where as it used to get hosed off and dried in the sun once every 3 months...if it was lucky.

Well now at least now I know better...unfortunately after the expensive paint job.

My Z06 Corvette hasn't been detailing this year......and it's almost time to prepare for a long hard winters hibernation...

You probably don't have enough supplies on hand. Perhaps you should pick up another coupla lifetimes worth of goods. :D

Sometimes I catch some good vibes when Im polishing! :xyxthumbs::buffing:

My truck is wiped down and given a spray sealant EVERY night. Doesn't matter if it's going to, did or was raining ....... it still gets cleaned.

And now ...... the trailer is turning into the same daily project.

Wife understands .... sorta ..... but would like the same time spent on her ...... car. :dblthumb2:

Just bought a new truck on Friday and still haven't cleaned it up yet (told the dealer not to touch it.)

That's unusual for me.
