I could use a round 2 :xyxthumbs:

I have practiced a little with the new machine... total different feel than the Flex. It's harder to hold, but I think if I keep it for corrections and polish with the Flex it should work out.
 
We can do round 2 of detailing 101 when you're ready for it. Just let me know and we'll make it happen. The guys from the Northern Virginia Team Detail meet were talking again about tackling a few cars up at my shop. I'll keep after them and if it materializes I'll send you an invite for sure.

Got a black metallic Grand Caravan here (it's a rental van) I'm just dying to correct. I hate that it's on the lot looking like this but I've been holding out til nicer weather for another "Detailing 101" day.



This was an attempt at some damage control at the place my landlord bought it from...Tsk Tsk Tsk..

Too bad I don't have quicktime. Can't view the video's. Quicktime gives this old computer fits.

Lucky for me Tuscarora Dave said he'd be happy to show me a thing or two. You know what? I jumped on that. I went out to visit Dave last Saturay for a one-on-one detail clinic with him to learn what I could.

Ok, let me tell you.... He knows A LOT. Way more than I could absorb in one day. I'm hoping to go back a couple times after I put to use some things I learned from him this past weekend.

One thing that really stood out is how much science goes into these products. Second is technique..... Dave has both. He knows a crapload about products, the technology behind them, and how to use them.

It's taken me almost a week to post up about my experience because I took a couple videos and wanted to post them in my thread, and I needed to figure out how to use iMovie lol and I've been working a lot of OT at work.

Anyway, I made a page on my personal website to talk about detailing, and about this great experience with Dave.

If you have the time, and want to learn, I highly recommend paying him a visit.

Yikes for sure.. If you would....?? Just for a second....?? Place yourself in the shoes of the guy that did that to the side of this Caravan...

Think he was like..?..."Yup...Looks good to me...I'd say that's done."

Good thing we here at the Geek have better teachers than that guy had.

Speaking of teaching.. this damn winter needs to go so I can come visit for round 2!!!!!!!
