It`s an ocean out there, when I open threads it seems they are filled with how-to guides and the products varies from time to time and I get confused - easy ;)

So what should I use for detailing a new car? Keeping it top notch :)
It´s white non metallic paint, for now it has Polishangel paint sealer on it that are supposed to last for years. That`s an overstatement because where I live, I could literally just drive my car through a pile of salt! And with all the amount of snow that are melting now, the roads won`t be clean in about a couple of months! There are also a lot of damaged roads, gravel, dirt and those wonderful chip rocks they use on the side roads when icy. So all in all, the odds are against me...... I also have limited access to mechanical cleaning most of the time, due to temperatures.

So here goes, and because I have to get this shipped over seas, it`s positive if they come in big bottles or bundles.

So I need a product list of what is the best to use from A-Z and for each point I would like to get suggestions on compounds and not at least what accessories :)

1. Pre-Wash/degreasing (salt and road chips that get stuck)

2. Soap/washmittens/accessories

3. Detailing a sealed car? Quick detailer or just dry off after wash?

4. Inside doors?

5. Enginge

6. Wheels

7. Wheelarches

8. Interior! Must NOT leave any glossy or slick surface
- dash
- leather (on the doors and arm rest)
- seats are upholstery and alcantara
- floor carpets
- rubber floor matts

9. And when the time is right, polish or any wax/sealant compound that will come in handy to protect in the long run.

10. Have I forgotten anything?

New car, I`m almost afraid to use it ;) Thanks for any good help :)

CG wash clear works great as a prewash to remove the bulk of the salt, sand, and winter grime! It's my go to prewash during winter.
Chemical Guys Citrus Wash Clear Shampoo

For maintenance washes I like DG901 and CG honeydew.
Duragloss Car Wash Concentrate #901
Chemical Guys HoneyDew Snow Foam 128 oz.

For wash mitts a quality MF mitt is what I use. There are so many good choices. I'm sure others will chime in here with other great products!

If there are no major contaminants, using a good detailer spray while drying works great on sealed paint. If there are a lot of contaminants, light claying with a fine grade clay bar or fine grade prep pad should be done before the detailer spray.

Sonax FE or einszett colortec and various wheel brushes are a must have!

For engine cleaning/degreasing I use CG wash clear in a foam cannon.

Door jambs: a good detailer spray is quick and easy.

For wheel arches, I use OPC or Meg's APC. Also works great for cleaning well maintained wheels where Sonax or Einszett is not needed for a deeper cleaning.

Detailing and wiping door jambs leaves #### loads of swirls, won't do that again! But that`s another discussion! I don`t want discussions here, just suggestions :)

Although it might seem I tried to start one ;)

:)

1. Pre-Wash/degreasing (salt and road chips that get stuck)
For anything like bugs and tar you can use TarX
2. Soap/washmittens/accessories
I like the Microfiber Chenille mitts or the LC wash wedge
For soap I like Chemical Guys Maxi Suds II or the Extreme body wash and wax
3. Detailing a sealed car? Quick detailer or just dry off after wash?
Any quailty quick detailer or spay wax will do. I like Meguiars D156 X-press wax or CG v7
4. Inside doors?
Clean them with a wash if they are very filthy then use a spay wax or quick detailer to shine them up. Just note that paint in the jambs is very thin so polishing out any scratches should be as needed more than anything.
5. Enginge
Any engine cleaner will work. Just ensure you tape off and cover all important components of the engine and limit the amount of water that you use. Various brush like the daytona speed master brush and its Jr. brush are great for cleaning the engine down
6. Wheels
1Z colourtech or uber wheel cleaner are my go to for wheels. Along with that I hve the Mothers wheels brushes, Wheel Woolies, Daytona Brushes, and The AMMO brushes. I clean the tires with the mother tire brush and dress them with opti-bond tire gel.
7. Wheelarches
I use and APC mainly Meguiars APC+ for the wheel wells and I use the mothers wheel well brush to clean them. To dress them I use Meguiars hyper dressing.
8. Interior! Must NOT leave any glossy or slick surface
- dash
- leather (on the doors and arm rest)
- seats are upholstery and alcantara
- floor carpets
- rubber floor matts
For the interior Meguiars has the quik interior detailer that cleanes and leaves nothing behind. For leather and leather cleaner like Pinnacle will do then be sure to condition the leather after. Seats if you have stains you can use the APC to aggiate the stain and use a wet-dry vac to clean it up. For carpets and the seats as well Folex is a great choice and can be found and HD. Floor matts you can use the APC and you stiff brush to scrub them down and hose them off.
9. And when the time is right, polish or any wax/sealant compound that will come in handy to protect in the long run.
Any quality sealant like Blackfire Wet diamond paint sealant, Wolfgang 3.0 sealant, Collinite 845, and Meguiars M21 just to name a few
10. Have I forgotten anything?

No I dont think so
