So typically once per year I overhaul my 09' GSXR 600. In between, it receives a wash almost every time it's used. So needless to say, from an untrained eye, the bike it's spotless (even the white wheels). Swirls do present themselves and their is always a random scratch or two that magically appear. So today, I choose to strip down the wax, do a thorough cleaning, polish, and then wax.

The absolute worst part of detailing the bike was equally the most important (taping of all the stickers and rough plastics that I didn't want to stain). The polishing wasn't much better, as this bike has so many angles and small panels, yet my gg6, grey 3.5" LC pad, and Menz po85rd did the trick and returned it to a flawless paint!

The flakes are popping and the gloss level is high, thanks to BF MSICP! Fortunately, this only needs to be done once per year!

Sorry, I was being lazy...BLACKFIRE Midnight Sun Ivory Carnauba Paste Wax.

It's easier to take of fall the fairings. Wash, polish, then Opticoat.
The remaining is aluminum frame and plastic, that I also Opticoat.
Wheels get washed, clayed, and you guessed it; Opticoat.

The tank front and sides get PPF.

I wouldn't doubt it, but I didn't car to take my fairings off...it i had Opti Coat I'd apply it...waxing it with BLACKFIRE Midnight Sun Ivory Carnauba Paste Wax is good enough...it makes the flakes pop crazy and it never sees rain.

Love that you replaced the stock can with that shorty pipe - so much cleaner! Akropovic ftw.

Great looking bike!! Makes me really miss my 07 zx-6r that I sold not too long ago.

Thanks! I actually bought the bike and replaced the stock exhaust before the ODO even had 10 miles on it!

You can say that again.

Thats why my sport bike of past only got two thorough cleanings a year. That means all fairing bits and seat removed. You could take a Q-Tip to any cavity on the bike and then use it in your ear.

The product that I used then and still use now is Facto AT30, the best cleaner & degreaser, bar none. Six years later, it was cleaner than the day I bought it.

That was then; this is now. I prefer spending more time using my motorcycle and having it take me on great tours, than looking at it.
