I am toying with the idea of vinyl wrapping my car. Not for advertising, but for changing the look of the car. Specifically I am looking at a black chrome wrap. The wrap will cost $2500 - $3000 for my car. I keep hearing that vinyl only lasts like 5 years. Is that true, are there specific care instructions for maintaining and detailing a chrome or black chrome vinyl?
Is it just better to have the car sand blasted and re-painted in black chrome? Again, just an idea, but it am looking for the longest lasting, easiest to maintain option.
