Hey all i'd like some opinions and people to vote on the name of my new detailing business. My target area is more upper end cars, I live in a golf course neighborhood and there is no one hustling after the guys at the golf course. All of which drive nice sports cars or upper end sedans.

Potential names

AJS Detailing
AJS Detailing Services
Smith Detailing

TIA!
The ajs part stems from my initials, and smith is my last name. Feel free to add any other ideas for names!

I would call it the county in which you reside in.Like Tampa auto spa or palm beach auto spa..

Well i'm on the border of two counties

Pick one and promote that you cater to nearby cities and county. This has worked for me for years.

Ahah I like it! I wanted to figure out the name prior to making biz cards, brochures if I do, finalizing my page

I think i'll stick with AJS Detailing Services, a lot more unique than Smith's
A better question would be, how do I tap into all of that potential business at the course? Just walk up well dressed and cleaned up, biz cards and brochures? Or maybe contact the golf course and pay to be sent out in an email service or have them promote me? Its a gold mine of potential detailing clients. Even if I just get a couple of regulars from it, that'd be great. My thinking would be I could detail the car (to a degree, not any real paint correction, but an inside and out clean plus a one step polish) in the time they play a round or so of golf. Living just two minutes down the street would make this work great.

I would personally overlook potential work at a golf course .Just leave some nice cards at the pro shop. There are many other ways to market your business other than a golf course. If I saw your golf cart detailing logo on the street I wouldn't know what you are catering to.Is it just golf carts or autos.Trust me there is a lot of people who don't have common sense. For instance my van is covered we come to you,and they still ask if I'm mobile.Making a very unique name will not make you more money.just make it simple and clear.I and my friends always use county names in the logo.Deosnt work for all businesses but for detailing, because if your mobile that tells everyone you cater to your hometown and makes you more identifying.Stick with you want just trying to help goodluck.

I expect to be doing business mostly on the border of my county into the one above me. The southern part of my county os more ghetto, more crime, not an area I want to cater to. The golf course was more or less an area to find some potential business. The golf cart logo is nice, but wouldnt be mine. I'll make a custom logo most likely incorporating my own car into the graphic. I wanted to get set on a name before making biz cards, finalizing the page, printing a few tshirts for work, etc. Having a unique name will make me more easy to find online, which in turn can help business. People are lazy, if they can't find a business after a few searches, they give up. Having a unique and simple name such as "AJS Detailing Services" not only represents me well, but is simple and easy to remember. Only other name I could see would be "Woodstock Detailing" as thats the town I live in, but not many people around here have even heard of woodstock, and most would think I was specific to this area
