Detailing Bootcamp in Bay Area?

in the san jose area! i'm down for this to learn new things! and try out new equipment!

Here's hoping that it comes to fruition!!

Bob

I waited a bit in hope of a reply email, but didn't get anything.

Does anyone have any other ideas of who to contact? I'll be more than happy to email them, as long as I know who to email.

Thanks.

If someone can offer their house or shop for this, I think we can make this happen quite easily.

Meguiar's...in Irvine, CA...does have their Road Show to consider.

Bob

Actually it was me that started the Road Show Classes and I don't think any have been done since I left...

I posted a list of a few of my main accomplishments while at Meguiar's in this thread,

Moved to Californial in 2002 to work for Meguiar's a second time. While I was there here are a few of my accomplishments,

http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/auto-detailing-101/81937-calling-mike-phillps-2.html

  1. Started their Detailing 101 and 102 classes coordinated via discussion forums.
  2. Brought up the MeguiarsOnline.com discussion forum from scratch.
  3. Started the Thursday Night Open Garage or TNOG classes. (Originally they were on Wednesday nights).
  4. Started their Extreme Makeover Classes.
  5. Started their Road Show Classes.
  6. Was an Instructor at the first two NXT ti classes along with Kevin Brow, Jason Rose, Mike Pennington etc.
  7. In 2003 I wrote a 65 page report called "The Zaino Case Study" of which all of Marketing was ordered to read to learn how marketing of car waxes worked in the discussion forum world.
  8. Wrote the concept paper for NXT Tech Wax - On page 31 I wrote the solution to the problem outlined in the Zaino Case Study report and that was to bring out an all synthetic product which then became NXT Tech Wax. This wax went from ZERO sales (because it was brand new), to the NUMBER ONE selling wax in in America by August of 2004 and nothing like this has ever been done before in the retail car wax market.
That's the major things off the top of my head...

I encourage people to go to any and as many detailing classes as you can from the widest variety of instructors in this area as you can learn a lot if you're willing to learn.

That said... I've been doing this a long time, longer than most and nobody includes the number or variety of tools, topics and cool cars all in one weekend like you get to work with here at Autogeek.
