Detailing Gloves for paint correction

Hi guys, I was looking for impact resistant gloves to help with the vibrations of paint correction.
How much of you use gloves? does it help? What do you recommend?
Currently looking at the Griots Detailing gloves.

I'd like to know if they get in the way... Meaning, don't they become more trouble than they're worth when it comes time to grab your clean microfiber and wipe the polish off the paint? Aren't you getting your clean towel all dirty with the gloves everytime?
The only thing I can think of is having to remove/put back on after every single section pass, which would be insane. Curious to know how these work in the real world from someone who actually uses them.

Get a Rupes and you won't need any gloves for vibrations.
 
Are the Griot's gloves precurved to match your hand as it's on the machine? Ever since I switched to motocross or snowmobile gloves for winter use (which are precurved - no bunching at the palms when you have your hands on the steering wheel), I can't stand flat gloves like some mechanics gloves I've bought.

I've though about getting open fingered cycling gloves for impact absorbtion but having some airflow/dexterity.
 
I have a rupes 21 mk2 but I use it with Meg's MF & foam pads (not a big fan of the rupes pads)
 
hf carries (type in "hardy gloves" in the search) mechanics gloves starting at around $6...
 
Ok guys thanks for to feedback I think I'll get the griots gloves I'll let you know what I think.
 
The Griot's Garage gloves are very good. They do not cut down a significant amount of vibration, but they do enough to make a difference.

I use them on every job with my Boss G15 and Flex 3401. They work well for orbitals, but my Flex rotary tools vibrate in such a way that even my super thick vibration-reducing gloves (not from Griot's or Auto Geek) do little to diminish the negative effect of prolonged use.

In regard to keeping the gloves on to do other work, like wiping off compound residue and such, I find no issue completing said task whilst wearing hand protection.

I did a few paint refinishing jobs right after getting the Griot's gloves and they seemed to just be "okay." On the next job I neglected to wear them at all and felt a big difference.
 
I got a set of mechanic gloves from CTC.

They have soft leather on the palm and stretchey nylon on backs.

They have good feel.

When running my Porter Cable it does help eliminate most (not all) vibration.

Also keeps hands clean.

Replace mine every couple years when they go on sale ($15.00 range).
 
In the colder months, I use a pair of snowboarding gloves. They make some with pure cotton shells, and rubber soles, no vibration and warm !
 
Ha! You know those things you might see on golfers hands down there.:xyxthumbs:
