I'm going to go vote. Mail something:D then come home and detail a car in the rain. It's a first for me. I would like to go with a sealant, but with this rain can't do that. I'm thinking XMT3 and 2, AIO, MaxWax or maybe the real good stuff Liquid Souveran. What would Justin do in the rain?

LOL Please tell me you are not going to run your PC out in the rain. :p

Hey you don't have to worry about the soap drying on the car b4 you rinse.:) Also a good chance to show before and after of the beading.

Isn't there some sort of overhang you can run the car over to? Like a do-it-yourself carwash?

Or maybe the car is due for an oil change and you can quick seal it while it's getting done. :)

Sparkie .............go vote and go to bed cuz you need the sleep.
Detailing in the Rain!!
Are you nuts??
If you pull that PC out in the rain I'll personally come to your house and put some zip wax on your car just for spite!!

This reminded me, when is it too cold to polish/wax your car? Right now it's about 35-40 degrees here with my car sitting outside, is that too cold to do anything with? Could you do anything if temp was below freezing?

Well I have washed in the rain. No need to keep re-wetting the car (I hate havin to do that), but detail. I don't know sparkie.

Sorry it took me soooo long to respond to this. It's actually been raining here for the last two days. Yesterday I did two at the owner's homes with garages. It was lightly raining so I washed outside, used my waterblade to remove most of the water, pulled inside, then dried. I then preceeded to finish the car inside. No big deal really. I watch the weather alot more now than before. I usually look at a rainy as a day off. If it's unsuspected, I'll just reschedule and double up. It really hasn't effected my like I thought it would. I look at mobile detailing as construction. It still goes on so why can't I? When it's cold, I just start later. As for the money, I haven't lost a job yet.....they just reschedule. I'm about 2 weeks out so most do what I want them to do if they want it done still. This means me coming to it at their home instead of work. I've also done just inside details in the rain. Not pouring.....just sprinkling. Most here care more about the interior than exterior upkeep.

Thanks guys for the WWJD comment, but I'm nowhere in that bracket of service!!!!

Nice work, Sparkie! I actually thought you were going to do everything outside.... let the rain water condition your polishing pads, no dusting from XMT3, help you spread DG101, and DG105 really thin without having to spray your application pad! :D

WWJD but I'm nowhere in that bracket of service!

Justin
Yes you are! :applause: Yes you is! :righton: You the man!:D I think we need to add WWJD to the product abbreviation chart. Can we get a vote on this?

alban61, I was thinking using AIO, but I don't know why, I set AIO back down a pulled the 101. Every time I use it I go WOW. 101 is like a new toy to me.
