Detailing Interiors...Love It Or Hate It ?

NOT A FAN! 6'4, nearly 300 pounds cleaning a Ford Focus isn't a pretty sight, and my body hates me after.
 
I love detailing MY interior, because its clean and as simple as a vaccum and Meguiar’s #40 on dash/plastics/doors, etc. I don't eat anything in my car. Every now and then there is dog hair, it happens. But it comes up easy, thankfully.

As for my friends cars (I don't detail professionally, just as a hobby and love for it), well some make me wonder why they let it get that bad, why they eat in there car, wish girls didn't shed like dogs, etc. But, I luckily haven't had any interiors nearly as bad as some as of us have seen on this forum with the crud, chocolate, cigs, dog hair, cat hair, dragon slobber and so on
 
I would rather do the paint BUT I dont really mind a good challenge inside a car.
 
Only do my own and my family member's cars so I typically love it, it's usually quite the turn around and the biggest drawbacks are stubborn stains I can't get out, scuffs of the same nature, and nooks and crannies I can't reach without an absurd amount of extra effort.
 
I did do details for a shop for a while. The stuff people want fixed inside is incredible. Chocolate in the headliner; coffe on the mats; ketchup in the seats. And don't want to pay extra.

Steam will do it, but then it's cleaner than the rest and the whole item needs done. Screw that.

I know the OP said pull the seats on his Camry. Scares the hell out of me with an electric seat and the built in airbags on mine.

I did make a Shop-Vac attachment with PVC pipe, a reducer, and heavy walled 3/8" poly tubing that lets me get in tight spots.
 
Hate interior work, to me, detailing is defined as exterior- removing swirls, scratches, and applying a nice layer of protection. Interior clean ups suck!!!
 
I love it. As others said, good money in it, especially soccer mom mobiles. You spend more money in your interior than looking at paint, so I like it to be clean and smell good.
 
I love having a clean interior, but the process of actually cleaning it does annoy me at times
