Detailing Mistakes

I'm sure i've done more but here are some:

I put Armor All on the pedals to make them shiny (which worked lol, I was 10-12)

I did my test spot right on the hood. Then got called back because they said "it's stares me right in the face, every time I walk to my car" lol

Lets hear yours, so others can learn from our mistakes.

Umm, not taping off a body line, especially when you know better...

Leveling touch-up paint applied to the spot you didn't tape off (see above) and accidentally sanding through another area you should have known wouldn't be protected by some thin-ass tape... *facepalm*

I put tire shine on my rubber floor mats one time.
Stained a big square in my carpet and made my boots squeak until I through em away. They stayed black and slick though

Using an old ratty wash mitt and throwing it on the floor to hose it off. Oops. Bath towels to dry.

Once I got online and read some stuff that quickly changed, and my wallet quickly emptied.

Had a girl friend who shined her brothers motorcycle seat with armor all just before he left on a mult state multi week trip.
