Detailing Postponed

It looks like Punxsutawney Phil's prediction of a short mild winter is a little bit off this year. It seems he didn't see his shadow so the cruel harsh winter we'd been expecting would have to wait until next year.....wrong, wrong, wrong you little varmint!! My old friend Mr Nosler wants a word with you....According to this weather map I'm smack dab in the middle of 25 to 35 inches of the white stuff tomorrow and Saturday..

We got it yesterday in Niagara. 30 centimeters,( about a foot.) I'm going out to move it after breakfast. What do groundhogs know about the weather ? Should have asked Bill Murray.

Stay warm and keep safe Bobby, and all the geekers out there!

We're getting freezing rain and supposed to snow later. I think wife and I are going to hibernate today.

Just made it back into Hartford Ct last night and I must say and is pretty bad. The expressway was okay but the side roads are still in bad shape. No sign of BobbyG.

Hello Everyone!

I ended up with about 30+ inches of the white stuff. The snow started falling on Friday and we lost power early Friday evening. A foot of heavy snow came down in just 3 hours and the wind speed hit just under 50mph.

In the midst of this I cleared out a spot for my generator and got it hooked up so I had internal power only to predetermined circuits. Saturday morning was a real eye opener because even though I had cleared about a foot of snow the night before another 20 inches or snow fell over night. I had to force the door open just to get outside...

I'm glad I have a generator. Temps Sunday morning were at -2 when I got up so I can imagine there were a few chilly households over the weekend....

The power came on late last night so things are nearing normal here.

I have some photos that I'll post later. You Florida folks might want to have a sweater or sweat-shirt handy. The photos you are about to see are disturbing and may not be suitable for younger viewers......

Glad to hear you weathered the weather, BobbyG. Being prepared is a good portion of the battle.

I'm about 15 miles south of Hartford Ct and had 33" in the driveway. Almost 4' of hard packed &*(# from the plow in front of the driveway. Wasn't a happy sight when we got home!
Today is freezing rain, rain, colder temps etc so it's going to be very messy. Good time of year for auto body shops.

Glad to hear everyone is safe.

Only about 6 inches here in Jersey (outside Trenton) but now with the rain today and calling for warm weather im sure the flooding will be a mess. Lost a detail myself on Saturday because of it

Sent from my SCH-I535 using AG Online

Glad your ok Bobby and made it through ok. Don't worry you will be detailing in no time :)

A bit more than a dusting.............

My generator keep sanity within reach. Since the temp hot -2F Saturday night this kept the furnace running.

After all the shoveling, blowing, and plowing I decided not to go to the gym....

That is insane, I will take the hot Florida sun over that much snow any day. Use to live in New Jersey, glad we moved. Keep safe.

Sorry about the loss of power Bobby but I knew you were smart enough to have a genny.

Glad to hear you and the family are safe,

Craig
