Detailing reality show...like "Bar Rescue"

Take a look shows like,

Two Guys Garage with Kevin Byrd and Willie B, lots of joking around but no drama, plus they show you how you can tackle real projects.

Willie is a great guy, not just as an entertainer but he is genuinely a nice guy. Especially away from the cameras and mics. He is a great host both on the air and in his home. I have detailed four of his vehicles personally.

Well they've got a ton of those shows, 2 guys garage, Car Fix and All Girls Garage (needs to be cancelled if it hasn't already) The name "Car Talk" is already taken by Click and Clack on public radio, so you wouldn't want that one anyways.

Yes I was referring to Car Talk but could be called Detail Talk. The difference is that they actually fix it or get the person to fix it.

Great idea's have to start somewhere, hope something happens as a result of all of our input. There could be a "featured car" segment from time to time where the guy talks about his car and his own process. This would be best for the guy who does his own car and doesn't take it to a shop, kinda showing both sides of the coin so to speak and should inspire people out there to go out in the garage and do the car themselves, sorry business owners but you'll always have cars to work on, LOL!

OK OK OK how about at the end of the show Dog The Bounty Hunter comes in and puts the offending detailer under arrest? :xyxthumbs:

Mike,

I absolutely meant it as a compliment! From my time on AG I have learned that are a top notch detailer/instructor with a professional, helpful, and friendly attitude and in my post I meant that I just can't see you acting like John Taffer does lol!

And just to note, that's exactly how I took your comment.

Drama works for some shows and lots of people like it, but what I like is working with someone like Dennis Gage where there's no drama, just informative conversation.

I just got the idea from watching "Bar Rescue",

Stacy and I watch Bar Rescue from time to time, the part I like is when John educates the owners and employees on how to change or improve what they're doing to be successful. Everyone loves to watch and see a success story, I just like it without all the mocked-up drama.

the show doesn't have to have the drama at all, you mentioned good examples Mike. The "Detail Show" could focus on going around to help out shops in need of "direction", think about it Mike.

Great idea but all shows need "sales" to continue the show, it really is a numbers game. You need sponsors that see a positive result from their investment.

Now that's bragging rights... congratulations on your hard work to get you his trust.

Working on cool cars or celebrity cars starts with earning their trust...

Although not a businessman or in the tv business I understand what your saying Mike but that show "South Beach Classics" made the cut, maybe the owner paid for the whole show, don't know and don't care because the show was a train wreck!

What I'd like to see is a show where rare cars are shown, home built cars that are truely unique and high end cars modded out. I watched a YouTube vid where this guy out in Cali took a 1st gen RX7 and dropped a built s/b Ford in and left everything else raw, really raw but the car was built to handle, brake and accelerate, its very crude and rude but I liked it, a lot and the guy who built it is only 19 yrs old too.

The "Detail Show" would be very sucessful, there's always a way to tie in the detailing aspect and FWIW not every car has to be that special, this is where the passion of the owner comes in and we've got plenty of those people here for sure, some with nice rides and others with regular cars and everywhere inbetween, think it over Mike!
