I'm not knocking the process of detailing....in fact, I love doing it as a side hobby.

What I think sucks is DETAILING THE SAME DAMN CAR EVERYDAY !!

I have a 2003 Acura TL TYPE-S that i'm trying to sell. And since we're in the pollen season here in Houston, Tx, EVERY MORNING before i go to work, it's got a nice sheen of yellow pollen in it.

I drive it to work to park out in front of a busy street, so people can see it. But every morning, I have to give it a quick water wash, then dry it, and get all the nook & crannies, make sure no water spots show up on it, then park it. And the tire gel on tires...yeah...who knew Michelin made yellow walls

When i get home, I have to go over it again with a quick detailer, and get the pollen off the seats and dash just from opening the doors to get in and out. I'm trying to keep this car looking as good as possible, but i think the pollen has waged a war or attrition....and it's winning.

Please someone...BUY THIS CAR!! IT'S KILLING ME !! :nomore:

But boy, does that silver paint shine like diamonds!!

Or you could ignore the pollen until you get someone on the hook. Everyone knows it is pollen season and isn't going to care if your car is as yellow as the car they pulled up in.

True....but i like to stand out from the croud.

And when your asking someone to fork over a good chuck of change, that car better look every bit as good as the asking price.

Depending on where in H-town you live, soon the pollen will be history and the lovely pollution from the refineries in Pasadena will leave a beautiful sheen on your car. (I went to UofH back in the '70's.)

AAHHHh yes...Pasadena

Pasa-get-down-dena

Stink-ah-dena

Sulpher-dena

Thankfully, i'm up in the Woodlands / Spring area.

But the 3 damn trees i have in my yard don't help either

Yea dude, i am from Houston as well.
Pollen season is unavoidable... I suggest u just leave it alone as MAJORITY of Houstonians don't give a crap about cleaning cars.
Might as well just offer them a wash and wax when they do decide to buy it
