If you have an open or closed trailer please post pictures and price you paid for everything.

I am trying to decided what setup to go with

Thanks

If i could figure out why my pictures wont upload id post my freshly built trailer! You help me, ill help you! Haha

This is my enclosed 6 x 1o trailer. It all depends if you buy used or new, but i got around 8k including chemicals and supplies. I went to far on the water tank size and pressure washer but im happy with it now. Let me know if you have any ?

carlo7, that is a sweet set up you got there. That water tank is a big boy and must chew up some gas when its full lol. Thats a smoking deal if you got everything for 8grand. I would have swooped that up in a second.

Sully, the biggest thing to consider is if you have somewhere to store the trailer and if its in a safe location. I know around me you can't park a trailer on any street, in any of the local towns. I work out of a box van/moving truck with a roll up rear door and love it. The only thing that is a pain is going up the step to grab your gear but its a small draw back. All my stuff is enclosed and locked and I have an ADT alarm system on it. Granted I also do auto/equipment repair so I have tools and what have you, but the space and security is hard to beat. Also I don't have to use my personal truck which saves on wear and tear and insurance. You can pick up box vans cheap from Penskee and Uhaul sometimes. Just a thought

Thats an awesome set up!

Thanks guys, I have all my supplies and tools. There is a local tank place down the street I believe its like $200 for a 150 gallon tank. Northern Tools is down the street which I'll end up getting the pressure washer and reel from them which is $700 the generator is about $350-450. I just need to find a good used 5x8 trailer of one that has been sitting on a dealers lots for a while.

If you had a choice would you run an open or closed trailer and why?

I would use the closed trailer. Because you have a bunch of room for advertising more space to store product and tools and the safety aspect you don't have to worry about someone stealing your stuff lock it up and walk away. When you get a trailer make sure you can stand up inside it makes like easier

Closed trailer. Protects your contents from the elements. Protects your contents better from wandering eyes. Also, you can put a wrap on an enclosed trailer for greater exposure. Greater cost upfront =more profit in the future.
