DG 501 and clay marring

Simple, quick question:

Would Duragloss 501 be able to fix marring from a Nanoskin fine grade sponge on soft Acura/Honda paint?

Anybody? There's too many Duragloss fans for nobody to have an answer.
 
I can't tell you if DG 501 can. I do know when I use the Nanoskin blue sponge I will get an occasional marring (like I did this morning), however, there are 2 ways that I know will get rid of it.

1. I also have a "traditional" clay bar and go over the marred part.

2. I will polish it out (I did this morning). I used Menzerna SF4500.

I used Pinnacle RW/w carnauba as my lube.

As for using another liquid medium, my guess is probably not. When I clay I usually polish my ride after I do that so IMO if you are going to do that then the "marring" is a non-issue.

Again, that is what I did this morning.
 
Don't think it will fix the marring by itself. Used with the right pad would probably correct it as the pad will provide some cut while the 501 does the cleaning.

Regular dilution ratio with the Pinnacle RW?

No I use quite a bit more in a spray bottle. I do not know how much but my guess is about 1 to 2 ounces in a 32 ounce spray bottle. I know there are some instructions about that with Pinnacle RW I just can't remember where....LOL I use a lot of it though. I figure the more the merrier and less chance of a dry car lube.

My guess is the Duragloss 501 will mar the heck out of the soft Honda paint.

Duragloss 501 is for gel-coat boats not clearcoated cars.


What type of polish do you have for clearcoated cars?

Thanks. :xyxthumbs: I use it as a QD and I think I use 3-4 ozs in a 32 oz bottle.
